Popular Post Deego Posted December 9, 2025 Popular Post Posted December 9, 2025 At least we had two sixteen-year-olds on the bench. Fantastic for the football club and everybody in the building. 8
TONofmemories Posted December 9, 2025 Posted December 9, 2025 The dog that was in attendance should be given a lifetime supply of treats for being subjected to that. TIME FOR CHANGE!
Mr.Blue Posted December 9, 2025 Posted December 9, 2025 Absolutely howling. Regardless of the starting 11 we should have enough to get through against that pub team. Get Corr and Shaw to far away as fuck as we can. Adeloye as well. Zero effort from the latter 2 and Corr is the epitome of a modern day footballer. Looks the part and thinks he's a player but that's about it. There's a storm on the horizon And for that I can't see the sun For I'll keep a waiting on the pavement For the ice cream van to come
Chicken_Soup Posted December 9, 2025 Posted December 9, 2025 (edited) That’s an absolute disgrace. For such an experienced manager to select such an inexperienced defensive lineup in those conditions is unforgivable. We’re leaving money on the table by changing the team unnecessarily. With the prize money on offer, and the realistic chance of a cup final appearance, it’s just so infuriating. There’s no way he should be getting the job after that, even if he did want it. DaftTon74 Posted December 9, 2025 Posted December 9, 2025 Christ that was abysmal.Terrible result. We have no right to beat anyone but you would still fancy us to give a professional performance and get the job done even with a rotated team, especially against a rotated Stirling team too. I hope that is the last time we see Dylan Corr in a Morton shirt too. I’m not even convinced bottom of league 2 is his level.Â
Tubes Posted December 9, 2025 Posted December 9, 2025 Clearly expected to waltz in there and beat them with so many changes is wild with the weather being a total leveller too. Really poor and I’ve just made peace with myself that we will never get  a decent run in this cup. Â

Hart is clearly down the pecking order because of what he does in training - that's the job of the coaching staff. Does this mean that backup options should never be expected to go out on the park against a team far lower than the level they were signed to compete against, and do a competent job? What other, nice plump soft balls are we waiting for in order to rotate our squad of full-time professionals around for? That applies across the team btw - not a criticism of Hart's performance. I don't see anyone in that starting XI this evening, who has been left cruelly exposed at work by being expected to beat Stirling fucking Albion. Edited December 9, 2025 by vikingTON 1 The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. We already knew that Hart will be also be leaving in January from his literal zero minutes in the league 17 games in, and somehow being poor enough in training to remain below Corr in the pecking order. Therefore there was no value in giving them game time as there was nothing to learn, we didn't need to write off a cup to get further confirmation about them being mince. Being papped out of our only realistic chance of a trophy by the poorest team in the SPFL so far this season can't be anything but. Not when the superior players in those positions are all available. We’ve just dropped them to the bench and cost ourselves the chance at potentially significant prize money, for what reason? Kindness?  Of all the changes to make, in the worst conditions imaginable, to change our goalkeeper and both centre backs where the drop off in quality and experience is most significant - it’s indefensible.
DumfriesTon Posted December 9, 2025 Posted December 9, 2025 Disgraceful result. For the first time this season, I’d probably question the lack of effort there. Their two goals were horrendous from us, the second one is so so so bad though. Corr dicking about on the ball and for some reason, passing a 25 yard pass with height on it but then Murdoch takes an age to clear it and then slips on his arse. Horrendous. Corr is the worse player in the squad by a mile and should be away in January. An absolute bombscare. He’ll be out of senior football within two years. Just so disappointing and a waste of a journey. Stirling ffs. 1

I don't see any particular need to 'blood' some regen who'll be back at Swindon soon. For our own goalkeeper there's a stronger case to make for rotation but given Storer's form I see no reason to rotate him out either. 2

Desperate times indeed when you're trying to dredge up Imrie's record in this competition as some sprt of standard bearer for success: how many final appearances and trophy wins did we have under his tenure? Imrie treated this competition with the exact same level of 'respect' as the current coaching staff.
