The League Stage finished last night. Sort of.

We will now apparently play Stirling or Hamilton on 9 or 10 December. Something of a draw will determine which of those teams it’s to be, and whether we’re home or away.

Date for that draw has been postponed from Thursday due to two matches being cancelled last night which will affect the format of the draw. Those matches are not yet rescheduled.

Setting aside how farcical this setup has become to accommodate B teams, I would love to see us reach the Final of this one year. And this would be a good year to do that with the higher prize money on offer.

How is the draw decided?

4.15 The draw for the Round of 32 shall be conducted in accordance with the following principles:

4.15.1 the draw will consist of 16 pairs of Clubs/clubs, with 8 pairs being seeded and 8 pairs being unseeded;

4.15.2 the Championship Clubs are seeded and paired based on their positions at the end of Season 2024/25 (pairing 1, positions 11 and 12; pairing 2, positions 15 and 16; pairing 3, positions 17 and 18; pairing 4, positions 19 and 20; and pairing 5, positions 21 and 23);

4.15.3 the 22 Clubs/clubs ranked 1 to 22 at the end of the League Phase will be paired according to their finishing position in the League Phase (Seeded pairings: pairing 6, P1 and P2; pairing 7, P3 and P4; pairing 8 P5 and P6) (Unseeded pairings: pairing 9, P7 and P8; pairing 10, P9 and P10; pairing 11, P11 and P12; pairing 12, P13 and P14; pairing 13, P15 and P16; pairing 14, P17 and P18; pairing 15, P19 and P20; and pairing 16, P21 and P22);

4.15.4  each Club/club in a seeded pair (i.e. pairings 1 to 8 inclusive) will be drawn against a Club/club from the corresponding unseeded pair (i.e. pairings 9 to 16 inclusive) as follows: pairing 1 vs. pairing 16 pairing 2 vs. pairing 15 pairing 3 vs. pairing 14 pairing 4 vs. pairing 13;  pairing 5 vs. pairing 12; pairing 6 vs. pairing 11;  pairing 7 vs. pairing 10; pairing 8 vs. pairing 9; and

4.15.5 the first Club/club drawn in each Match shall be the Home Club.

So we are in pairing 3 (we finished 18th (6th in the Championship) last season) with Raith Rovers and will play pairing 14 (P17 and P18 in the Group Stage). That means it will be: - Morton or Raith Rovers v Hamilton Accies or Stirling Albion. So hopefully Stirling at home.

When is this scheduled for?

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

While it's easy to treat this competition as an afterthought with the ridiculous format this season and Imrie has treated it as a chance to rotate in previous seasons, we really should be having a run here. Not just because it's routinely disappointing that we never get to the final of this tournament, but the prize money has massively increased:

Winner - £150,000
Runner up - £100,000
Losing semi-finalists - £75,000
Losing quarter-finalists - £50,000
Round of 16 losers - £40,000
Round of 32 losers - £30,000

Hoping I can make this one.

Ten years since we last played the Binos - since then I think we've played against every club in the senior leagues (and a few who have dropped out) other than Forfar and Spartans.

Fresh stain on the floor when I moved in. He may have checked out short of a useful amount of blood.

Last time I was there I was losing the plot and calling for Duffys head (one of the many times I did that season). 3-1 down with 10 mins to play. End up winning 4-3. Glorious.

Least surprising update of the day! Even if it goes ahead, the weather will be a bit of a leveller.

That season was wild for comebacks and late wins. The two goals at the end against Ayr and the comeback against Stenny in particular (Paul McMullen was through one-on-one with Gaston to make it 3-0 in that game, Gats saved us and we went onto win 3-2). Duffy would never have got through that first season without those comebacks, which were probably down to a combination of our full-time status and bigger squad rather than anything Duffy did (he obviously vastly improved after that tricky first season).
