RossMcC1874 Posted November 8 Posted November 8 Anyone bothered about this one? According to Imrie we have a few players out but didn't say which ones, I know Taylor is long term and also Crawford and O'Halloran seem to have been out for ages. Don't really feel that optimism still haven't won at home and can't see that changing but would loved to be proved wrong. No doubt Todorov will score for them.
Mr.Blue Posted November 8 Posted November 8 If possible I'd start with the team that finished last week against Raith. There's a storm on the horizon And for that I can't see the sun For I'll keep a waiting on the pavement For the ice cream van to come
TopCat Posted November 8 Posted November 8 (edited) I forgot O'Halloran existed. Feeling optimistic about this one. The tide will turn for us at some point and I can't see Arbroath sustaining their early season form for much longer. Edited November 8 by TopCat Spelling

I don't think anyone's really pinning their hopes on an attacking player who's scored 1 goal in the past 4 years and 8 goals in the past 8 years. There's a number of reasons why he's going to be easy to forget. I'm being cynical though. Hopefully he'll come back from injury and we'll see some of the ability he showed about a decade ago, without the pace he had then. I'm still being cynical, I should stop.
Mr.Blue Posted November 8 Posted November 8 Blues and Brophy the 2 that's missing apart from the long term casualties? There's a storm on the horizon And for that I can't see the sun For I'll keep a waiting on the pavement For the ice cream van to come

He has been brought in as a coach as well IIRC, being the John Sutton figure in the squad is no big issue. The big issue is that the goals/assists return from all our wide players in their supposed 'prime' is also dung, and MOH didn't look out of place compared to their jobber performances too. The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before.. So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are
TRVMP Posted November 8 Posted November 8 Blues is out and I fear we're going to get overrun in the middle again.
SpoonTon Posted November 8 Posted November 8 What did Ross County do to Lyall? He's been a shadow of the player he was in the second half of last season.
Popular Post SpoonTon Posted November 8 Popular Post Posted November 8 I like Moffat as a forward. He puts in a shift and drifts out into dangerous areas. That's two good balls he's put into the box this half. Cracking finish from Moore there. 4
RossMcC1874 Posted November 8 Author Posted November 8 At last ft 1-0 wasn't there so can't comment on the performance but finally a win at home! Mon eh Ton

Once player was back on his feet storer went gor the ball and was booked for time wasting. The referee was over at the injured player too.

Chicken_Soup Posted November 8 Posted November 8 The Storer booking was a joke. As was the corner and free kick Arbroath were incorrectly awarded late on. The ref was generally out of his depth but the last 10 minutes were particularly bad. Massive result though, can’t wait to see that goal back! And MacPherson did okay today, which is a big improvement, there is hope. The 2025 winter unbeaten run has officially commenced. 2
