It's one of the highlights of the season today as the draw for the Third Round of the Scottish Cup takes place at 6pm on the Scottish Cup social media channels, and of course, this is the point that Morton enter the competition along with the other Championship teams and the League One teams, with the League Two sides entering yesterday's Second Round and only Clyde (lol) and East Kilbride having fallen by the wayside so far.

With the Third Round due to take place on the weekend of the 29th November (there'll be a game on BBC Scotland, presumably on the 28th), our potential opponents are below:

Championship and League One

All teams enter at this stage

League Two

Annan Athletic, Dumbarton, Edinburgh City, Elgin City, Forfar Athletic, Stirling Albion, Stranraer, The Spartans.

Highland League

Banks O' Dee, Brechin City, Buckie Thistle, Clachnacuddin, Turriff United.

Lowland League

Bonnyrigg Rose Athletic, Clydebank, Linlithgow Rose, Tranent.

East of Scotland Premier Division

Camelon Juniors.

West of Scotland Premier Division

Auchinleck Talbot.

West of Scotland First Division

Benburb.

While at this stage, the preference for me is always an away trip somehere obsure, there are slim pickings for a decent day out, with only Banks O' Dee remaining for me to tick off though I dare say others will have a few they may fancy getting to. I'd happily go back to Buckie, Clach, Tranent or Camelon, while Bonnyrigg, Linlithgow or Auchinleck would be decent enough days out, though fraught with danger.

I wouldn't mind anyone in League Two away with the exception of Dumbarton, with Elgin being the pick of the bunch, while in League One, Montrose away's one of the more desirable trips.

Anyone got any preferences before we draw Dunfermline at East End Park and exit the tournament with a whimper?

Preference would be one of the Highland league/lowland league teams away from home for hopefully a decent away trip and day out. Would be quite happy tho with anyone at home outwith our division too.

Enough with the fantasy’s though, just tell us we’ve got a championship side away and be done with it.

Knowing our luck it will be Ross County away or some shite like that, given how we have been playing even an easy draw at home will be a task for us.

Wouldn't mind a game against the Bankies for the nostalgia but theyd probably put us out on our arse. The only difference being Ken Eadie won't score this time.

We should have enough to beat them. Team and manager might be slightly different by then also so it's an intresting one.

Could have been worse could have been better.

Not the worst of draws.  Would rather have got them at home and they have been decent this season so it won’t be an easy tie but hopefully we will have enough to get past them.  Happy we have avoided any of the big boys or any shiters against ayr, dunfermline etc

Not the best not the worst. Decent wee stadium to go too and I say cautiously a winnable tie. I had the fear of god when Dunfermline got drawn out at home.

A winnable tie and a trip to a team outwith our league. Decent draw!

Talbot-Celtic will be nailed on for TV, you'd think. Ours will be a regular kickoff.
