After our first win of the season can we follow it up with another three points.

Don't ever really look forward to a game against them but after our win last week lets hope we can continue that today albeit they are much better than Airdrie.

Adeloye hopefully to score against his former employers. Heart says 2-1 but head says 2-2 which I would take.

This line-up is ludicrous because we cannot afford to carry Adeloye, Shaw and Garrity when we don’t have the ball. And the defensive/midfield side need to learn how to clear balls properly to take pressure off too.

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

Ludicrously good?

Absolute sickner they were all over us to be fair but still a tough one to take.

Thought we defended really well as a team Storer made some great saves.

We really didn't create anything and our only chance was the goal. Subs offered us very little.

No idea where the ref got all the added time from thought he was shocking tbh gave us Absolutely nothing.

This is normally when I say I'd have taken a draw at kick off but I don't even think that's true. We have a large and not exactly bargain basement squad this season and we're on the back foot so often.

The equaliser was scored in the 93rd minute so it's not like playing too much stoppage time was a factor. The issue was inviting them to score for the entire half and not being able to ride our luck for that long, when they hit the post or bar three times and had several sitters from set-pieces where we were consistently all over the place.

We didn't defend well as a team - you don't get overrun and have to massively ride your luck just to keep the score down to 1 if you did that. The players did put their bodies on the line at times and the subs did a lot of selfless running, that almost produced a second goal too. But as a team we coughed up enough chances to concede 3 or even 4 goals today.

The issue was partly tactical - they had an extra man with Watt occupying two centre backs, so they knocked the ball around easily. As soon as Lyall got drawn to the ball, they just knocked it to their number 8 who he was supposed to be tracking and he had the freedom of the park to attack from there. It created a 3 v 2 in the middle of the park and happened so often that they should have scored at least once from that. Ironically we improved our shape both with our subs and then Samuel going up front for them.

I'm not blaming him for a goal here, but Corr is simply not good enough to be a starting centre back. And we will still get nowhere in this division by persisting with two wide players (never mind 2ith Adeloye) and then wondering why we are too easy to play against to actually win games.

Not sure if the disappointment of conceding the late goal has clouded your memory, but just off the top of my head:

- we had one cleared more or less off the line in the first half from a low Garrity cross which Adeloye was in position to tap in, with the keeper completely out of it

- their keeper made a great save from a Nathan Shaw right footed shot

- Moffat hit the post with a header

- Moffat had a bundled effort from a low cross bounce just past the post

To say we created nothing other than the goal just isn’t true. We came extremely close to going 2-0 up which would’ve been job done.

If we'd gone 2 up it would have been a (funny) robbery tbh.

That said, Partick have some of the best players available at this level across their midfield and up front and will end up finishing 2nd.

We need to be better against everyone below that who aren't up to much.

Peter Weatherson is the greatest player since Ritchie, and should be assigned 'chairman for life'

Last week and this week demanded the complete opposite of each other. A 1-0 win against a team who surrender all possession and ask us to break them down, almost followed by a 1-0 win against a team who dominate possession and ask you to defend.

I think we did a decent job of both and unfortunately fell just short of the win today. Most games against the rest of the division will be somewhere in the middle of that spectrum. I’m optimistic about our ability to cope with it.

Gillespie was anonymous when he came on - it was like playing with ten men.

i’d disagree about our lack of chances- Moffat’s header which hit the post followed by an outstanding save from Shaw’s shot, which, from my angle looked a goal all the way came close tp giving us a second

Let's rock !

I thought Partick were excellent today. Passed us off the park and were much more aggressive all over. Smyth ran the show and we couldn’t get near Watt all day really.

It feels like a loss but we didn’t deserve anything from that game.

Storer sensational.

If only there was some sort of statistical record by now of our ability to play up and then immediately down to the rest of the division on a weekly basis.

Can't argue with the result. I actually thought Partick deserved to win today. Sore one losing a late equalizer but it was coming.

Though we looked reasonably comfortable until Lyall went off. Robertson did ok but Lyall's composure and ability to keep the ball was an outlet for us.

Few candidates for MotM today. Corr had his best game for us. Delaney and Jacko good as well. Storer kept us in the game though and was my MotM.
