DaftTon74 Posted October 4 Posted October 4 Terrible goal to concede. I thought we had binned playing out from the back
dunning1874 Posted October 4 Posted October 4 Finally! Massive result and that's a very healthy gap to 10th this early in the season. Brian Wake my Lord, Brian Wake Brian Wake my Lord, Brian Wake Brian Wake my Lord, Brian Wake Oh Lord, Brian Wake
Mr.Blue Posted October 4 Posted October 4 Monkey off the back and time to kick on. Excellent win. There's a storm on the horizon And for that I can't see the sun For I'll keep a waiting on the pavement For the ice cream van to come
AyrshireTon Posted October 4 Posted October 4 So, this is where we go unbeaten until March. 1 McGhee needs some support, there's no-one backing him up. Hayes playing it forward, Bell being forced to do it all alone, now forward from Marr, here's Ritchie, still Andy Ritchie, look at the control... That is a marvellous goal from Andy Ritchie. Twenty minutes on the clock and Morton's supporters come alive. A goal which epitomises the control, the arrogance, the cheek of Andy Ritchie.
TopCat Posted October 4 Posted October 4 Beating that rancid rabble will never get old. Great result to hopefully build a bit of confidence in the squad.
Chicken_Soup Posted October 4 Posted October 4 As boring as the first half was, that was a deserved win, and the second half was actually very entertaining. Unbelievably, our wing play led to two actual goals in a match, one from each side. Garrity tore their right back apart today. That feels like a massive result for us. Hopefully the team, and Tomi in particular, can take a lot of confidence from that. Airdrie look like the obvious relegation candidate.
HamCam Posted October 4 Posted October 4 A great finish from Tomi. Then to concede was typical Morton this season - it was a howler. Thankfully we showed more desire to get the winner. If only Garrity offered that kind of delivery more often. A deserved win that hopefully breeds confidence going forward.
Chicken_Soup Posted October 4 Posted October 4 I actually thought Tomi’s shot hit the post and was coming back out then hit the keeper and went in. It happened so fast, I could be wrong, but I’d obviously rather see it credited to Tomi anyway.
Hands of Cowan Posted October 4 Posted October 4 Well done to Longridge for scoring a goal and it not being chopped off. Shout out to the SFA and the referee's association although I'm getting used to the apologies from them every week.
RossMcC1874 Posted October 5 Posted October 5 Really good to get that monkey off our back with the first league win of the season. Garrity was really good and so positive on the ball our wing play actually worked for once. Adeloye was better and in the right place at the right time, his general play still leaves a bit to be desired and I question if he can stay fit for a full season and be the striker we need him to be but if he can maybe get a run in the team he does know where the net is. Lyall will make a difference once he is up to speed you can see the way he carries the ball and picks out passes will help us link everything together. Airdrie are utter mince and it will be a miracle if they dont get relegated.
