A truly hopeless performance. Nothing happening from us in open play.

Peter Weatherson is the greatest player since Ritchie, and should be assigned 'chairman for life'

for Shaw, Moffat, Garrity and all our other rotating cast of wide sand dancers - who don’t even stay out wide, but cut inside and in Shaw's case back to the goalkeeper - to be launched into the sun with this garbage formation along with them. It guarantees mediocrity in every other area of the park too.

And a big round of applause to Longridge for getting his moronic, petulant foul in on the 90th minute again this week, to keep that streak going. That hammer-thrower Todorov will bully him next week.

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

Winless with two away games coming up and showing very little sign of creating chances from open play.

The fixture list is kinder in the second quarter and you'd hope for our usual rally that gives us comfort, but barring some really excellent results over the next few games we're looking at yet another poor first quarter after that result and performance. This team should be far more concerned with their ability to avoid 9th than challenge for 4th at the moment.

A big thank you to whoever was selecting man of the match for providing some comic relief. Uproarious laughter travelled across the Cowshed when Longridge was announced, he was the frontrunner for the worst player on the park on a day with no shortage of contenders.

Granted that might be the league winners we’ve just played, but it’s already clear that we’re short of what’s needed to challenge for promotion.

The manager has done a good job over the course of his time with us but this is at least the second summer running where he has held over too many players who don’t have enough quality to consistently threaten teams at this level.

Garrity looked threatening at times giving the opposition something to think about and it was a fantastic delivery for our disallowed goal.

Again though we go through very long spells in matches without looking like scoring.

The penalty award in the Partick match and sense of injustice deflects from how toothless we were thereafter.

We didn’t look like scoring in the entire second half in Perth.

Nor for the ninety against Dunfermline.

It needs to be urgently addressed.

No home wins in three is exceptionally poor.

We’re just not very good. Too many bang average players that can’t control a ball. Longridge, Delaney, Moffat and Shaw just utter garbage. The talk of 4th place is laughable with this side and tactics as it is.

Referee was atrocious for both sides. Never a red card for Mullin and having looked at a clip on Twitter, it’s clearly a legitimate goal for us. Looked a penalty on Adeloye too. He is so out his depth anytime he’s refereed us.

The short goal kicks need binned. Every team to visit Cappielow has sussed them out and realised that we’re not very good at using them.

The tendency to play passes backwards is getting to the fans and Wilson felt the need to react to the Cowshed at the dismay shown to his pass back to our defence.

Didn’t appear to be anything wrong with our disallowed goal and the red card looked harsh.

Fresh stain on the floor when I moved in. He may have checked out short of a useful amount of blood.

Passing backwards and sideways to retain possession is fine but for too many Morton players it is a cop out. How many times this season have we been in possession high up the park and rather than being brave in the final third we take the easy option and pass backwards. What makes it all the more pointless is when our keeper then launches it up the park. We are a team will little flair and creativity.

Agree with the rest of your post but... really? 40 minutes attacking a team, around 15 minutes with a man deficit - and that's your review? One set piece delivery is nowhere near good enough a return on that IMO. Now, Shaw was quite comfortably worse - him being kept on the park was a bigger joke than the MotM award - and Moffat was probably equally poor, but the benchmark being set here is laughably low for all three.

If we want to play with two wide forwards off Brophy, then they need to offer a serious threat in both goals and assists. Our current lot offer neither. Dylan Easton is in all likelihood a ludicrously overpaid sand dancer, yet will probably match all three of the above for goals/assists over the season.

Wasting two starting picks on such piss-poor options is our biggest problem right now, and while the likes of Shaw and his stupid T-Rex arm sauntering quite rightly get called out, Garrity is fully part of that problem too.

All talk of the performance aside, thats a second time already this season that they officials have cost Morton points. We need to solve how toothless we are in the coming weeks but we absolutely need to be making a stink of how we are being officiated.

Nope, sorry, we absolutely should not be building a sense of injustice case, when our performances have fully merited the 4 points we've actually got and nothing more.

I don't care about a disallowed goal, when you record two other serious goal chances in the entire game. Focus on getting our own house in order please instead of blaming officials - not least given that a draw would still have been a ganting result against ten men.

The standard of refereeing now is atrocious. He obviously hasn’t seen a push, because there wasn’t one, so he’s disallowed the goal on a guess. Also, the cheek of him to book our player for JUMPING after he’s made an absolute howler like that. It’s the infuriating combo of arrogance and incompetence that really gets me. Maybe I could just about tolerate one or the other.

I'm fully on board that we have a lot in our own house to fix. The left-side of our defence will only be fixed by signing someone and Tomi is so far off what we need at the moment. Not to mention our issues with shape, wingers have to be so good at this level to make a difference and ours just aren't.

However, I don't think that has to be at the expense of drawing eyeballs to how poor the refereeing is in the Championship. Its an issue that effects all the clubs, but so far we have had 2 match-changing decisions go against us due to guesswork by officials.

The manager didn't know what his budget was until too late for that.

Also from behind the goal Gillespie appeared to call the referee a bastard, possibly a cheating one for his booking.
