That's a fantastic idea 1 TIME FOR CHANGE!
Popular Post CowshedTon Posted August 21 Popular Post Posted August 21 Hi all, I spoke to the folk at Morton this morning. The Ayr match has just come too soon to set up the teddy bear idea, as there are a number of issues that would need to be worked through beforehand. They are keen to do something at an upcoming home game, but it’s best to wait and do it properly rather than rush it through and risk it being a shambles which is understandable. 8

Yeah would definitely need a wee bit more planning and notice. Was that confirmation that there are no thoughts about postponing Saturday's game or anything?
CowshedTon Posted August 21 Posted August 21 I really only spoke to someone this morning, I'm not in the inner circle so really don't know tbh. Heard that there will be a minutes silence so I'm assuming that means match is on. Really no one knows what Dougie's wishes are or if the SFA have been asked so wouldn't like to speculate. 1
Greacen2000 Posted August 21 Posted August 21 Absolutely devastating news. I hope the club will give the gaffer all the time that he & his family need to come to terms with this. Nothing can make the pain go away, but hopefully knowing that they have the love & support of the fans and everyone associated with the club will give a little comfort at this terrible time.
ConTon74 Posted August 21 Posted August 21 Devastating news. My heart goes out to Dougie, Lauren & the family at this sad time. The post gets me everytime I see it can’t imagine what they’re going through. Sleep tight little Remi

Just a suggestion, but would it be worth considering a donation to the unit which cared for Remi? McGhee needs some support, there's no-one backing him up. Hayes playing it forward, Bell being forced to do it all alone, now forward from Marr, here's Ritchie, still Andy Ritchie, look at the control... That is a marvellous goal from Andy Ritchie. Twenty minutes on the clock and Morton's supporters come alive. A goal which epitomises the control, the arrogance, the cheek of Andy Ritchie.

We asked how to do this when our own wee boy was discharged from the ward. They can’t accept donations but did mention Bliss, which is the UK’s premature and sick children’s charity. https://www.bliss.org.uk I have left the link above in case of interest from anyone. They provide some very valuable services. What we were told by the ward is that they would welcome any donations of knitted clothes - hats in particular. It’s hard to understate how small many of these children are and even the smallest manufactured children’s clothes don’t fit them if/when they are able to get out and held for a few minutes. That’s one thing I really hope Dougie and his partner were able to do over the course of their daughter’s short life. 2 1
port-ton Posted August 23 Posted August 23 Saw on Facebook the at the Motherwell fans had a banner for Dougie and Remi. Touch of class from them given the pantomime villain nature of their relationship. Good people will do good things, bad people will do bad things, but only with religion do good people do bad things!
