Pedrodelawasp Posted August 20 Posted August 20 Dougie has sadly confirmed the passing of his baby girl Remi. All our thoughts and condolences will be with Dougie, his partner and their family.
Stevie Aitken's Love Child Posted August 20 Posted August 20 Absolutely heartbroken for Dougie, Lauren and the wider family. That picture he shared on Twitter has absolutely ruined me. 1
RossMcC1874 Posted August 20 Posted August 20 Tragic news so sorry for both of them some things are much bigger than football. I'm about to be a dad in March and this really hits home. 2
port-ton Posted August 20 Posted August 20 Awful news. I can’t even imagine what the family is going through. Rest in peace, Remi. 1 Good people will do good things, bad people will do bad things, but only with religion do good people do bad things!
LargsTON Posted August 20 Posted August 20 Heartbreaking. I couldn't imagine what they're going through. RIP Remi. 1 "CORNBEEF IS A BELLEND"
Mortonbug Posted August 20 Posted August 20 (edited) Devastating news of little Remi's passing. RIP. Thoughts and prayers with Dougie, Lauren, their friends and family. Edited August 20 by Mortonbug 1 "In a country lacerated by the sharp shards of broken brown-eyed promises, in a world bent low by the burden of disease, war and the price of Thunderbird, who is left to make full account of God and Britain's depleted moral mini bar? Yes, it's the surprising adventures of me, Sir Digby Chicken Caesar!"
Tubes Posted August 20 Posted August 20 Absolutely awful news, gutted to hear this. Thoughts are with Dougie and all his family, can’t even begin to imagine what they are going through right now. 1
The Bewilderedbeast Posted August 20 Posted August 20 Echo all of the above, so sad. MCT meeting held a minutes silence before meeting this evening impeccably observed. 1
dunning1874 Posted August 20 Posted August 20 Awful. When it's something so unimaginable to go through it's hard to find what you can say by way of condolence. RIP. 1 Brian Wake my Lord, Brian Wake Brian Wake my Lord, Brian Wake Brian Wake my Lord, Brian Wake Oh Lord, Brian Wake
so72 Posted August 20 Posted August 20 Devastating news, sending all the love and support to Dougie and the family possible. We lost my sister in the same circumstances and she'll always be part of our family, which will be the same for Remi. Will be thinking of them all in the coming days. 1 1
GIBBYTON Posted August 20 Posted August 20 There really are no words that can make this better for Dougie, Lauren and family. I'm sure they are in everyone's thoughts across the club, support and wider Scottish footballing community. RIP Remi
AyrshireTon Posted August 20 Posted August 20 Heartbreaking to hear this. Thoughts are with Dougie and his family. McGhee needs some support, there's no-one backing him up. Hayes playing it forward, Bell being forced to do it all alone, now forward from Marr, here's Ritchie, still Andy Ritchie, look at the control... That is a marvellous goal from Andy Ritchie. Twenty minutes on the clock and Morton's supporters come alive. A goal which epitomises the control, the arrogance, the cheek of Andy Ritchie.
Popular Post TonFan89 Posted August 20 Popular Post Posted August 20 Should the wider fanbase (through MCT?) be organising a fundraising effort? It would be good to see a sizeable donation made to a premature baby charity in Remi’s name on behalf of the Morton family. 4 2
TAFKAC Posted August 21 Posted August 21 This is terrible news. Thoughts and condolences with Dougie and his family. "I learned long ago, never to wrestle with a pig. You get dirty, and besides, the pig likes it." George Bernard Shaw
Mr.Blue Posted August 21 Posted August 21 Absolutely heartbreaking. Can't imagine how the family are feeling right now. There's a storm on the horizon And for that I can't see the sun For I'll keep a waiting on the pavement For the ice cream van to come

David said that rather than just send the generic card and flowers they were already discussing something similar to what you suggest. I still think that flowers etc would be a start, but at least it's being looked at.
Tubes Posted August 21 Posted August 21 Nice to see some floral tributes outside Cappielow today. Think fans flooding that avenue will hopefully show the family the fans are thinking of them.

Could also organise one of those moments where all the fans throw on a teddy and stop a game for a few minutes while they are collected to be donated to hospitals who look after sick kids. 1 12
