Aberdeen seem to have a man free all the time. We’ve sat off them and invited all the pressure, and collectively shit ourselves anytime we’ve got near their box. This will be whatever Aberdeen want it to be. Also, Adeloye cannot be relied on.

There's plenty of effort. The back four and Storer have both worked hard and done relatively well. Even the midfield are working hard -the problem is that even 100% of Moffat or O'Halloran's defending is simply not good enough for this task. And they're also fundamentally not good enough to cause Aberdeen's defence to break sweat either as attacking threats, so we get the worst of either option. They simply shouldn't have started in the first place: including Adeloye too. 

The decision to take a short, crap free kick just after 0-2 - when you haven't laid a glove on their defence, and a dirty set piece goal is clearly the best chance to get back in the game - is criminal and should be fined.

Pathetic 1st half on every level it's like a training game for them barely had the ball and when we have it's been a long ball hit up to nobody. 

For all the build up to the game we have been absolutely honking men against boys hopefully Imrie goes right through them and we can at least have a decent second half.

That's one of the worst cup games I've witnessed at Cappielow.

That really was a struggle to watch. Didn't create a single chance the whole game and we offered absolutely nothing in the midfield or in attack. Long balls constantly up to nobody felt like a training game for Aberdeen could have been there all day and not created a chance.

Give it the big build up about what a great draw and in all honesty the players shat the bed and did nothing.

Hopefully the Injuries aren't serious to Taylor or Adeloye. Mind you wouldn't know half the time if Adeloye is playing since he doesn't move. 

Storer given man of the match after conceding three is hilarious not that he was at fault for the goals. 

All in all a really poor showing.

That was an embarrassing performance. We played zero football and no surprise not a shot on target.  Aberdeen will not have an easier game all season. No shame in losing to a decent Aberdeen team but we were inept today

That’s got to be in the bracket of one of the worst displays under imrie. There was not one ounce of fight in that team at all today. Pathetic performance all round.

You expect to lose while hoping for better, you expect them to be the better team, but you don't expect to so meekly capitulate. That was so bad.

I think that's what you'd expect from the lineup we put out. We gave Blues and Crawford a monumental task in midfield and it was every bit as difficult for them as it had looked. Moffat tried but we know his limitations in that role. O'Halloran was as bad as he was for Dunfermline. He's slow to react to everything - if Imrie can get a tune out of him it will be one of the greatest achievements of his career. Brophy had a couple of neat touches but lacked the required intensity. Too many of the new signings don't look ready or up to speed yet. Storer was excellent, though, he looks a real find (I'm not inclined to criticise Moore or Longridge too much either, there were a couple of goals where they could have done better but we gave them far too much work to do).

Never laid a glove on what was a poor Aberdeen team. Other than the third goal which was a nice move and finish, Aberdeen cruised the game without needing to play remotely well.

 

I can see a similar season to last year unfolding. We'll be solid enough at the back, but struggle to cause teams problems. There's just a serious lack of pace and energy at the top end of the pitch with Adeloye, Brophy and O'Halloran. Struggle to see where the goals are going to come from.
