The Naitch Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 Jason Walker has his second visit to Wembley in 8 days today as his York side is up against Luton for a place in the Football League. "To be the man, you gotta beat the man"

York go up in front of nearly 40000 fans, the majority obviously from Luton. Where the hell do they find enough people willing to go when their average crowd is about 5500?

Where the hell do they find enough people willing to go when their average crowd is about 5500? Ground only holds 10,000, since they put in the silly boxes along the side. Huge catchment area, and were always well supported in the 80s, when they were in the top league. "I learned long ago, never to wrestle with a pig. You get dirty, and besides, the pig likes it." Well they've only had one game over 8000 this season (the last one, and 9000 for the play-off semi), with crowds normally 5500-6500, so that ain't a very good excuse... had 1,004 for a game earlier in the season! Ground holds 10,226 according to Wiki.

dmc Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 Aparently Dom Cervi is on his way to Beckham's LA Galaxy!!! RIP New Order...
ThornTON Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 Aparently Dom Cervi is on his way to Beckham's LA Galaxy!!! Do they need someone to carry his money around for him?
vikingTON Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 Not sure why they'd go for him, he'd probably drop it. 2 The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before.. So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are
dmc Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 Do they need someone to carry his money around for him? Gotta be true, in one of todays papers! (The Sun I think ) RIP New Order...
garymcc1874 Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 Dominic Cervi â€@DominicCervi Still trying to figure out how I'm training in LA when I just woke up in Vegas? Gotta love a good Scottish Sun rumor #smh TTG JIM!!!
Toby Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 I see Peter Cormack senior has written an autobiography and James McPake, yes, James McPake (!) has been called up for Northern Ireland's international friendly with Holland. They must be really bad.
El gofer Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 well tobes, since stephen craigan retired they had a vacancy for an overrated spl media tart in their defence and jack ross has retired so.....step forward mistuurrr mcpeeake 20.1.09
ThornTON Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 James McPake, yes, James McPake (!) has been called up for Northern Ireland's international friendly with Holland. They must be really bad. Now that is scraping the bottom of the proverbial barrel. Seven SPL players in the squad; Mannus, McPake, McArdle, McCourt, Healy, McGinn and Little. I know Healy is a legend over there, but surely only scoring 5 goals in 25 games for one of the better SPL sides should be enough to drop even a guy like him!!!
SpoonTon Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 Saw Paul Di Giacomo coaching Killie youths last night (under 13s or 15s or something like that).
Toby Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 McPake made his international debut in a 0-6 riding. I'd normally be a bit disappointed about a Scotsman becoming an Irish Internationalist. Normally.
