Was Carlo not Dougie's fist summer signing when he took over as manager and, from memory, he was a decent enough player and unlucky to see Grimshaw come in and make right back his own which, ultimately, led to Carlo leaving the club prematurely.

On the topic of Dumbarton, it appears that they have been liquidated and are now a new entity, though they will remain in League 2.

I remember he showed promise early on, he played centre back at cappielow in one of those early season games where we were still squad building, and did quite well. But quite quickly looked out of his depth and it got worse from there. Very surprised he’s got another gig at this level.

Sir

Kindly re-visit your post and edit your error in typing Cappielow.

Are Queens Park a hybrid of Full Time and Part Time players now? I see our former youth team coach, Austin McCann, who left for Queens Park is not looking for a new opportunity as they have scrapped their youth set up. They had a few local boys up there.

You wonder what the budget for his new outfit will be. They have Declan McManus as their main man over there but you have to wonder if any of the out of contract players will be touted by him? Wilson, Mullen or maybe even Lyall if the money is enough.

Can't say he will be missed. The times I had any, minimal, interactions with him during my visits to hospitality, he came across as, poor, cars salesman who was full of his own importance. No idea what minerals he brought to Cappielow but I would say the club is now in a worse place than it was when he rolled in to the club.

Lewis McGregor away to Coleraine for an undisclosed fee.

Tumilty signs for St. Johnstone.

There's a storm on the horizon

And for that I can't see the sun

For I'll keep a waiting on the pavement

For the ice cream van to come
