If you sit in the stand, i’d buy my ticket asap as you can select your usual seat, as opposed to the seats being unallocated the way they were for the Hearts match

Let's rock !

Aberdeen currently sold just under 2000 of their 3200 ticket allocation. Anyone know how our ticket sales are going?

Good effort

There's a storm on the horizon

And for that I can't see the sun

For I'll keep a waiting on the pavement

For the ice cream van to come

Was in Cappielow tonight. We have sold just 1600.

Would expect us to hit 2,500 by the weekend.

When we played them in 2012 the total attendance was a mere 2,817, probably because it was midweek.

5,000ish seems a reasonable goal.

Not great but have to imagine that with good weather and all, there will be a good few hundred bought at the weekend.

The Fanbase app is so good people won’t be in a rush to buy. I’ll buy mine on Saturday afternoon just before I leave the house probably.

If we sell less than three thousand home tickets for an attractive game like this it will be very disappointing.

I've been thinking about this and, with it being a Saturday match, I can't really figure out any marker to judge how attractive this match might be to people or how many tickets we might sell. The last time we played Aberdeen at Cappielow in the League Cup (2012), the attendance was 2817. It was a midweek evening game and there was probably not much more than about 500 or 600 Aberdeen fans, so obviously that's different to a Saturday afternoon; but unlike with the Scottish Cup, the League Cup doesn't usually generate a huge interest.

We haven't had many knockout games at Cappielow in the League Cup in recent years. We had Quarter finals against Dundee Utd in 2016 where the attendance was 2149 and St Johnstone in 2013 (after beating Celtic) where the attendance was 2619. The highest attendance in recent years was against St Mirren in 2011, when the total there was just under 5000 - but even then there was probably about 2000 St Mirren fans.

Essentially we're hoping that the game being on a Saturday will make a significant difference. It certainly will allow more away fans to attend, and home fans as well to a certain extent. If we sell over 3000 tickets for the home end then we'll probably be doing better than at any other League Cup game at Cappielow this century - and I'd be pretty happy if we manage that.

Good weather on Saturday might bring a few extra locals out, but it takes a lot to get 3000 in the home end at Cappielow.

This game is not on broadcast TV but is available on a Premier Sports live stream. Does anyone know what kind of camera setup will they use, as they won't have a gantry in the shed?

Presume not available in Engerland (where I am)?

I pay for Morton's stuff when it's available because I want these tournaments to be value enough for broadcasters to care about. I also watch our highlights whenever they appear on Paramount plus over here although obviously that's not really going to make a dent.
