GiGi Posted August 2 Posted August 2 (edited) Concerned about the players missing and the defence. It will probably be a game of few chances for us so can't afford any fuck ups at the back. Edited August 2 by GiGi Peter Weatherson is the greatest player since Ritchie, and should be assigned 'chairman for life'

This is clearly a personal matter that’s related to his family, and rightly should be left at that. Won't lie, I would feel less uneasy had they used the word personal rather than private.

so72 Posted August 2 Posted August 2 Let's not guess what's going on and give Dougie privacy and support when appropriate. Our players know what is expected of them and I'm sure they'll want to turn in a good performance.

Having someone like Brophy to come on if we’re looking for a goal (in addition to Garrity who made that a bit of a specialty) is great to have. Couple of defensive options to try and see out a lead too. 1
thai_ton Posted August 2 Posted August 2 Kudos to the club, email from Gareth with a code to access. Game on! 1
RossMcC1874 Posted August 2 Posted August 2 O'Halloran and Moffat to score against their former club?

YeH, they touched on it on Radio Scotland without specifics 'I have had it confirmed from the Chairman that it's a personal matter rather than anything else'.

Midfield pretty poor, O'Halloran not good at all. Storer kept us in it and clear MotM. Peter Weatherson is the greatest player since Ritchie, and should be assigned 'chairman for life'
Mr.Blue Posted August 2 Author Posted August 2 Poor game but the referee was absolutely honking. Adeloye was absolutely infuriating today. Not willing to put himself about physically and lost possession countless times. Thought the defence was reasonably solid and Storer looks like a great signing. Shout out to the absolute arseholes who were fighting on Sinclair Street and the main road after the game. Not just daft wee boys but grown men too. Embarrassing behavior. 1 There's a storm on the horizon And for that I can't see the sun For I'll keep a waiting on the pavement For the ice cream van to come
TopCat Posted August 2 Posted August 2 Bit of a scrappy game with a handful of tidy moments for both teams. Pros: Wilson was tremendous defensively and Storer made some really good saves. Moffat also made a few really nice passes in the final 3rd. Cons: Robertson, O'Halloran and Adeloye looked miles off it physically, which is a concern if they're expected to play a lot of minutes this season. The ref was the best player for Neil Lennon's Dunfermline.
tondaft1874 Posted August 2 Posted August 2 Lucky to come away with a point after running out of steam after around an hour. 3/4 really good saves from Storer kept us in it. First half was decent but missing the end product. Hopefully Crawford back fit for next week and Blues fit enough to start.
TONofmemories Posted August 2 Posted August 2 Very, very scrappy game, but a good test of our defence if nothing else. TIME FOR CHANGE!
CM48 Posted August 2 Posted August 2 Storer with some great saves earning us a point. Absolutely stuck in our own half in the 2nd half until Blues came on, even then we were mainly on the back foot. Mostly no one had a good end product which wasn't helped by a sticky and bobbly pitch. But despite all that we did create a few good chances with a couple of good moves, Ballantyne still looked great I thought, Wilson can still read the game better than anyone in the league, Lennon got booked, and drawing ugly is better than losing ugly. Plenty to build on. Mon the 'Ton
standman Posted August 2 Posted August 2 The booking Neil Lennon got was laughable. That was only one of many terrible decisions, Ref had a shocker today Let's rock !
Ferguson Posted August 2 Posted August 2 Storer was exceptional there, BBC claiming he made 9 saves today. Thought Kian Taylor had a really good first half as well, over the piece a poor performance from the team though. Take the point and move onto next week.

The ref was the best player for Neil Lennon's Dunfermline. I actually thought Wilson had one of his poorer games although he did get back in to support the defence. Thought the defence was decent. Moore seems to be a great signing. Think Robertson and Taylor look like they'll be good additions but will need to get used to this league and the amount of 50/50s, etc - maybe a bit naive more than anything. 3
RossMcC1874 Posted August 2 Posted August 2 Pretty poor game. 1st game of the season so far to early to judge how we will do. Storer was impressive and already looks a smart bit of business. Midfield pretty lightweight but we are missing players in there still feel we lack a cutting edge but with Crawford back hopefully soon that will help. Brophy will score goals just need him up to speed, Defence were alright. Interesting to see who else may come in Jones possibly?
