1-1 between Patrick and Dunfermline. 2-2 on aggregate.

Mental to think that we played the Pars off the park a couple of months ago.

It's a "non brainer", Murn doon. Yes they'd probably thump us but it's a bit of extra money in the bank for us versus having no derbies, and more importantly it'll take them down a peg after their recent successes.

Nowhere near as straightforward as that for me. I think the intensity of the rivalry with St Mirren has somewhat diminished in the last 20 years or so, due to us rarely meeting in competitive matches, and the financial benefit of them being relegated will be minimal because Partick also bring a decent support to Cappielow. Seeing these entitled arseholes get promoted will be a real boot in the hawmaws, so both scenarios are equally win/lose for me

I know it feels like a bit of a stalemate in terms of what the best outcome would be, but based on nothing other than gut feel here’s how I would expect each scenario to pan out in season 26/27 -

St Mirren stay up -  Partick will have another decent season in the championship; St Mirren consolidate & avoid another relegation battle

St Mirren go down - Partick become next seasons Livi style whipping boys and St Mirren struggle to adjust to the championship as the likes of Hibs, Dundee Utd, Inverness & more recently Ross county have done following relegation from the top flight.

On that basis I will be holding my nose and hoping partick go up.

Partick is a good away day but they are a horrible club and it gives me great pleasure when they always mess up the playoffs.

St Mirren hasnt been a proper derby in years due to them being streets ahead of us but the bubble might be bursting there so there are positives to both.

The ideal situation would be for them both to come down but thats out the window.

Partick's strategy of selling off assets/stakes in the club to pay the wages of Watt, Chalmers etc. is reaching the end of its road. Another promotion failure only weakens our direct opposition (not a rival).

St Mirren going down this season will most likely be like St Johnstone last season. I have zero interest in some extra money and four derbies, en route to their title clinching campaign.

St Mirren can go down next season in 12th, after appointing another couple of donkey managers.

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

That's my thoughts on it.

Is the fucking parachute payment still a thing?

I’d always want derby games, even if the midden do do a St Johnstone.

I think that if Partick stay down I can’t see them being as good as they were this season, albeit they’ll probably still be decent.

But with the 2 clubs going down being replaced by smaller and poorer clubs(?) then next season is surely a real opportunity for any also-ran team like us to aim for a high finish?

Dunfermline and Partick/Midden will have decent budgets, and maybe Ayr too, but after that I can’t see any other team being noticeably more minted than us?

And if the Estrella stuff goes through we should hopefully have a bit more money as well some fresh input and ideas at board level.

Yes, alongside a million pound brown envelope called a 'European Solidarity Payment'.

Stenny promoted. Gregor Buchanan lucky (with a number of others tbf) to finish the game.

Didn’t realise Kalvin Orsi was at Alloa.

Fresh stain on the floor when I moved in. He may have checked out short of a useful amount of blood.

Granted the solidarity payment currently goes to all Premiership non-European qualifiers but it's still something all the relegated teams have scuttled down with in their back pocket.

It was £1.1m each for the payment at the end of the 24/25.

I see Falkirk voted that they think Championship clubs should get £100k each from it. Naturally, the rest of the Premiership clubs voted fuck off.
