I signed up to MCT for the first time last month along with my younger son. We both have paid 2 monthly payments so far, however we have not received any MCT correspondence via emails? We have tried the contact emails on the website to try and sort this however have had 0 contact back.

Does anyone know who to mention this too or how to get this resolved?

I had issues similar to yourself when I signed up not long after MCT launched and directed my issue to: @TonClubTogether on X/twitter

I got a response back within 48hrs . Hope this helps!

I see there's a headline on the telegraphs fb page that Brian bonar has said he'll walk away if we see the same board room hassles as this preseason. Anyone able to share the article?

Brian Bonar: Morton warned by Dalrada CEO of upheaval repeat

Morton's main financial backer has warned he'll walk away from the club if there's any repeat of the boardroom upheaval that hit Cappielow earlier this year.

Dalrada Technology CEO Brian Bonar, whose investment at Cappielow is expected to top £2 million by the end of the current season, has spoken publicly for the first time about a summer of tension that threatened to derail manager Dougie Imrie’s preparations for the new Championship season.

The lifelong Morton fan became the club's main sponsor back in the summer of 2022 and saw an extension to his deal worth an initial £700,000approved by members of Morton Club Together (MCT), the fan group that owns over 90 per cent of the club, back in July.

But that approval only came after weeks of turmoil behind the scenes over MCT representation on the football club’s board and discussions with MCT members around the extension of the original Dalrada deal, which came to an end on June 30.

Speaking to the Tele for the first time since 2022, Mr Bonar, who was watching from the stand as Morton beat Airdrie 2-1 on Saturday, said: "It's well documented as to what went on over the summer, I think what's important now is that Morton Club Together, the charity side of the organisation and the football board are all beginning to work together.

"That's what I cry for at the end of the day. Just stop criticising one another and get on with the task at hand.

"I'm not going to be here if that happens again. It's that simple.

"At the end of the day, what's important? Bringing the boards down or supporting and promoting the team?

"We need to get right behind the team.”

Mr Bonar met both Dougie Imrie and Billy Davies, the club’s technical head coach, as well as the boards of both MCT and the football club, and says he now believes everyone is singing from the same hymn sheet.

"I was at dinner with the MCT Board, the Morton board, Dougie and Billy on Friday night,” he continued.

"We had a great night - it was a good and happy occasion.

"Everybody seems to be on the same page, which is what I cry for.

"I'm really happy with the progress that's been made off the park in the last couple of months, and there's more to follow.

"There will be more changes, which some people might call window dressing but it'll boost the morale of everybody, from the players to fans to staff.

"I don't really get involved too much - I'm just the man who provides the money”

”I tell people what I want them to do and hopefully they go and do it.

"But I want to avoid a repeat of last summer at all costs, I won't do it again."

The extension to Dalrada’s sponsorship of the club is up for renewal in January, and Mr Bonar says he wants to see the boards of MCT and the club come up with a business plan for the 2026-27 season by the end of this year.

He continued: "I think that the boards will work together to have a plan for moving forward in place by the end of December.

"That is going to be a plan that covers many subjects - I think that Dougie [Imrie] will be quite happy with that.

"I refuse to get myself involved at the last minute, like I did at the end of last season, because I'd be as well keeping my money.

"If it does look like that, then I'll get the kids in a room, bang their heads together and tell them to get real, get serious and get on with it."

When asked if the target of having a business plan in place for next season by the end of this year is achievable, Mr Bonar replied: “I don’t fail.”

I get that the end of last season was a shambles, but its still hard to tell what is to be achieved with this plan. Will it address a hard stop to the ~£750k p/a Dalrada funding? Generate more revenue so Dalrada can reduce their funding by an equivalent amount?

Brian Bonar's sponsorship is certainly welcome, but it's hard to see him pulling out as anything other than a cliff face scenario, even if our staff manage to turn us into the commercial equivalent of a small-scale Man Utd.

Be interested to see what comes of this statement and more changes coming.

To be perfectly honest I wanted a pound of flesh due to the transfer fuck-up and it still leaves a sour taste that the culprits basically 'got away with it'. However, if I swallow my pride a little, Bonar is correct that endless in-fighting is just a waste. As long as he's holding people to account going forward and ensuring I can live with that.

Well worth reading through the threads on P&B and Reddit on Hamilton's latest shenanigans for a look at how bad things can get under incompetent backroom staff.

It's also pretty amazing to see that there's still a core group of apologists and bootlickers defending the club despite the mess they're in.

I’ve only read the BBC sports article but considering they’ve tried to cheat the system and been caught, their punishment seems rather soft.

It makes you wonder if the authorities are just trying to get them through the season before they implode?

here today, gone to hell

If, or when the day comes, Dalrada can no longer fund us, we are going to be in a bit of a sticky situation. We really must source additional income to complement Dalrada and succession plan. I wouldn't say our current board is competent given the numerous issues that we have encountered. One example being a transfer embargo, the manager not having a budget for the commencement of pre season etc etc
