As soon as we've made subs, or in Saturday's case been missing Brophy altogether, we've struggled to keep the Murray game plan going. Shaw is another option up front, and Moffat can bé played through the middle too. That Murray doesn't seem to like those options really isn't grounds to throw bad money after bad money. The squad that we have is plenty to work with, until the manager gets his chance to build a different one in the summer. The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before.. So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are
Ferguson Posted February 24 Posted February 24 Does anyone know where the boy Murphy plays? Obviously a purposeful decision to end his loan early since he’s been on the bench in place of the other 2 youngsters. I’d imagine we’ll see him feature at some point, perhaps that’s the role he’s stepping into if he can play there.
port-ton Posted February 24 Posted February 24 I imagine he’s one of the Dalrada funded extensions if we are getting it done this early? Good people will do good things, bad people will do bad things, but only with religion do good people do bad things!

Probably, he seemed to be the most obvious candidate when that statement was made. Good business regardless. I noticed “Si” Ferry saying that Kerr Robertson has came in and been “incredible”. I wouldn’t argue with you for disregarding his opinion entirely right enough, but EK play a similar system to what we’ve been playing in the last few weeks so it’s encouraging to hear that he’s slotted in well.

ConTon74 Posted March 6 Posted March 6 One of the few that I’m happy we’ve kept on. Still a bit raw but there’s definitely potential there.
Brian Skelton Posted March 6 Posted March 6 Good news and pleasantly surprising that we are tying players up early hopefully get Shug tied down also. Big B
RossMcC1874 Posted March 6 Posted March 6 Happy with that good player who has decent potential only going to get better. Nice to hopefully get a few players tied down to contracts so we have the makings of a squad for next season and then Murray can add too it with his own signings.
Tubes Posted March 6 Posted March 6 How are we looking squad wise next season, who’s tied down already?

We were rumoured to be looking to offload Brophy so wouldn't be surprised to see him leave if he gets a decent offer. Charles_Joe Posted March 6 Posted March 6 I’d have Moore as the replacement for Gillespie. Holding midfielder capable of dropping into centre half to let full backs push up.

dunning1874 Posted March 6 Posted March 6 Moore has been our best defender this season, very encouraging to hold onto him when he should only improve with more games. 1 Brian Wake my Lord, Brian Wake Brian Wake my Lord, Brian Wake Brian Wake my Lord, Brian Wake Oh Lord, Brian Wake
