So what's our best starting 11?

I genuinely would struggle to pick a midfield and having to leave out 2 of Wilson, blues, lyall, McPherson and Crawford.

I wonder if Dougie knew he was going to bring in both McPherson and Lyall. Seems strange to bring two midfielders in.

Is there a stipulation in the loan agreement preventing Lyall playing against his parent club, or is that a given, in loan deals these days?

It's against the SPFL rules now for loanees to play against their parent club.

Woke nonsense, IMHO.

4 of them can definitely start together. Not sure they will, but they should.

Not sure if it’s already been mentioned elsewhere, but Zak McKay has dislocated his knee in training. I’d imagine he will be out for 2-3 months at least.

That's a blow. Hopefully he's back to fitness soon. I think he could be a real asset to the team in time.

Same.

Reminds me a bit of the Levein-Cathro situation at Hearts. I can't shake the suspicion that he's just here to knife Dougie in the back and take over the job when the opportunity presents itself.

“…I've always said to Dougie… he's got to do what he feels is right.”

Sonny hart, whoever he is, away back to Swindon. Hopefully the start of the clear out of the dross we have in the squad

Hopefully cut our losses with Shaw but I don't think the rest of the squad are particularly bad.

Id be quite happy to see Shaw, Corr and Delaney leave. Tomi is apparently off to Dubai.

Forgot about Corr.

I'm not Delaney's biggest fan but also don't think he's as bad as he's made out - could definitely get an upgrade on him though. Far too many mistakes in his game but don't think he's a complete lost cause like the others.

Its a start hopefully the likes of Shaw and Corr can follow him out the door.

Wouldn't be too fussed of Adeloye was off either.

Most interesting thing about that signing given his lack of game time was his dad previously being one of the UKs most wanted criminals hiding abroad.

Good people will do good things, bad people will do bad things, but only with religion do good people do bad things!

Would be happy with Hart, Corr, Shaw and Tomi out. Think 2/3 quality starters would make a huge difference. Squad isn't miles away from being where it should be.

4/5 squad players out and 2/3 quality starters in would probably suit us best, but that's easier said than done.

A bit more agression defensively and a quicker, fitter forward to play off Brophy/Adeloye are the priorities for me.

Daily Record have us interested in Cale Loughrey, Canadian centre back at Hamilton. They signed him on amateur terms (officially at least) in the summer.

No idea how good he is, but encouraged by Murray looking at a centre back. Considering that he knows Corr already, that makes me think he'll be following Hart out the door.

I seriously don't understand the hate for Delaney either. I think he is a pretty decent, well-rounded player for this level.

Makes sense was never at the level we need, you would imagine he has played his last game for Morton, Murray would have had him at Raith so will know himself.

Wonder if the Canadian centre back from Hamilton might come in before the weekend.

Fair play to the club/Murray for getting Corr shipped out quickly. Good luck to him. Never the required standard for us but I hope he does well in League One.
