It was great to see Stuart Kettlewell in attendance at the U18s Cup Final, followed by a visit to the women’s game yesterday. Brilliant to see he already cares about all aspects of the club. Maybe he’s already eyeing up the next Lennon Miller from our U18s, ready to hand out first-team chances when he steps into the manager’s role next season, with Dougie heading off to Partick.

You're really setting yourself up here if Imrie doesn't wind up at Partick.

How would we possibly be able to appoint a new management team when we can’t even finalise a playing budget for at least another 2 weeks, after which they’ll have 16 days max until whatever first team there is returns for pre season training.

Colossal mess could be about to get even worse.

Millen isn’t actually out of contract until June, so the club will likely keep everything quiet until then to avoid making any premature announcements. As for the lack of follow-up on the story, with so much other club business being aired so publicly in recent weeks, it’s created the perfect cover — the ideal conditions for his departure to go largely unnoticed and for fans not to question it too much, especially with the additional fuck ups currently going on.

Great update, thanks.

You got a date in June when the contract is due to expire, so that we know when to expect the official announcement from the club?

We can cross the bridge IF the time comes. However, if it does occur it would probably be within the clubs best interest to allow Imrie to speak to Partick so that we can get a fee for him. Otherwise, I believe it will get messy and Imrie will try and force the move. I would also not blame him one bit for doing so.

In the past few weeks alone he has lost his trusted assistant manager, been disregarded the chance to have contract talks with crucial first team players as we don't know what the budget is yet, a FIFA registration ban (although sorted now). Add all that to his obvious dislike towards DPM and JL (which was highlighted even more at the player of the year event), amongst all the other shit along the way he has to deal with, who can really blame him?

If he goes, i hope it gets done quick, efficient and as professional as possible from all parties. We realistically could actually be in a position that we have 7/8 first team players reporting for pre season, with no first team staff.

10th June, so some time around then we should see an announcement

Let's just hope all this mess can be sorted out as soon as possible. Between the Fifa ban and then the mess with Dalrada and the board it's the worst way possible to end the season.

Imrie has done wonders here and if he does move on it will be with well wishes but it will leave us even more in a bad place mind you with everything going at the moment you can hardly blame him.

That's not to say he will get the Partick job considering they will be looking at a few candidates but you would imagine he is high up the list.

Has it been confirmed Millen has left?

I was listening to Open Goal and they seemed to be ITK that he is indeed gone.

No but his contract runs out in June so whilst there should have been some sort of statement especially with the negative press around it, on Morton's current standards it was never likely until it's actually expired.

The best we got was director/ex director/director/ex director Stuart Duncan on the 3rd of May making a snidey comment about it on Facebook, saying Andy’s contract had come to an end and ignored the situation that happened after the game.

Could probably add another 10 or so director/ex-directors to his CV from over the years. Absolute leech.

Duncan being an absolute bellend. No surprise.

No one can grudge Dougie's chance at moving on to another team with a bigger budget, even if it is plucky wee Partick. And if he does go I'm sure he'll do so with the gratitude and best wishes from the vast majority of Ton fans for everything he's done in the last 3-and-a-half years.

I'm just a bit worried if he doesn't get it that might negatively impact his enthusiasm and motivation in carrying on with us, also taking account Andy's abrupt departure and the current uncertainties caused by the ongoing bin-fire. Hopefully his professionalism will not let any of that have a negative influence on him, but you'd have to be concerned.
