Cet Homme Charmant Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 Anything less that a win against the league's whipping boys would be wholly unacceptable. Having said that, I'd happily take a narrow and boring 0-1 win with a mishit shot defected off an arse.
Ashman Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 I predict a bore 0-0 draw with little creativity, minimal attempts on goal and for Imrie to come out afterwards and praise the performance FTOF

On its own, an away draw here wouldn't actually be a terrible result, but a win is needed to stop the gloom surrounding our season as a whole getting worse. The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before.. So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are
Jamie_M Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 Stuparevic back and Moffat dropped. Santa is real.
SpoonTon Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 Surely Lyall really needs to step up today to justify his place in the starting 11. You can see some talent there in flashes, but it's hard not to feel that opposition teams exploit him as a weak link in our midfield. I'm surprised he wasn't dropped today and I'd love to see him start to repay the abundant faith that Imrie has shown in him. Gillespie is another strange one for me. Barely made double figures in league starts in 2024, only really coming into the team when we're forced to bring him in (with some of those starts coming at right back). I thought he had a better game against Ayr at Cappielow than any Lyall has had this season, but he just doesn't seem to be trusted to start. Was he only retained as squad cover, and is that something we can really afford to do?
Alibi Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 Dire stuff. Passing crossfield and then back to Mullen. "Any nation given the opportunity to regain its national sovereignty and which then rejects it is so far beneath contempt that it is hard to put words to it."
AyrshireTon Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 A goal! A real goal! Fresh stain on the floor when I moved in. He may have checked out short of a useful amount of blood.
RossMcC1874 Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 Fs 1-1 penalty can't even keep a lead for a minute, dire.
AyrshireTon Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 2-1 - Davies! Fresh stain on the floor when I moved in. He may have checked out short of a useful amount of blood.
bob_the_builder Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 Magic! Fingers crossed that gives Davies a bit of confidence and he’ll kick on from here here today, gone to hell
AyrshireTon Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 Chucks three subs on and we concede. Fresh stain on the floor when I moved in. He may have checked out short of a useful amount of blood.
DaftTon74 Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 Wilson wasn’t having his best game for us but I don’t get that sub at all. Bringing Mcginn on for him is not a like for like sub and it looks like it is going to cost us. Needless foul from him for their goal. We are very bad.
Mr.Blue Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 Dougie needs to bite the bullet and accept that McGinn has been a total failure of a signing. With Raith and Accies winning we could do with 3 points to keep us level with them. There's a storm on the horizon And for that I can't see the sun For I'll keep a waiting on the pavement For the ice cream van to come
gmfc23 Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 A draw away to that shite with 5/6 first team players out for them just won't fucking cut it. No more fkn shite excuses either same tired boring predictable shite every week. Other managers have been hounded out of morton for less.
