I’m sure Dougie scored for us that day, although I’ve tried hard to blank the 2013-14 season from my memory (the win at Celtic Park aside).

He did, right on half time at 3-0 down.

The scorer in the 5-1 Livi game that I mixed it up with was Cham.

McGhee needs some support, there's no-one backing him up.
Hayes playing it forward, Bell being forced to do it all alone, now forward from Marr, here's Ritchie, still Andy Ritchie, look at the control...

That is a marvellous goal from Andy Ritchie. Twenty minutes on the clock and Morton's supporters come alive. A goal which epitomises the control, the arrogance, the cheek of Andy Ritchie.

Ballantyne centre back, Blues right back, Lyall sitting beside King, McGinn up himself, but changes in possession sometimes to Garrity pushing up beside McGinn and Lyall pushing up as well. This is really not very good.

I'm all for a change of approach, style and formation but I really hope Dougie isn't trying to overcomplicate it all. Not only bamboozling the opposition but his own players and fans.

There's a storm on the horizon

And for that I can't see the sun

For I'll keep a waiting on the pavement

For the ice cream van to come

Cowdenbeath have won 1 game in 8 attempts in the Lowland League this season. If we’re struggling to break them down then it’s a huge concern. It’s also worth remembering Airdrie knocked 8 past East Kilbride after about an hour before making wholesale changes and taking their foot off the gas.

We're not just struggling to break them down, they've looked far more like scoring than we have.

In some sense this was a no win game you couldn't read much into, eg if Reynolds or Davies come off the bench and score a hattrick against Lowland League opposition it doesn't mean they can do it against Championship teams. What you can conclude is what players can't do against Championship opposition if they can't do it against a bottom half Lowland League team.

Lyall cannot play in a deep lying two, he plays in the middle of an attacking three or not at all. He's absolutely terrible in this role.

McGinn is not a lone striker, as anyone who's watched the 37 year old winger at any time in his career before now could have told you. If you're signing him to play there, then pause and rethink everything you know about football.

If we fail to win this game it will be the worst result in the club's history by a massive distance. Right now we're showing absolutely no sign of doing it.
