Excellent. Something a bit different.

Was the last time we were through there the time that Rowan Vine got sent off for sticking 2 fingers up to the Cowdenbeath support?

It was, remarkably.

Have been through three times since watching some highly entertaining pyramid playoff finals, from the tight game in the pissing rain v East Kilbride that they survived on penalties before East Kilbride were the ridiculous bankrolled monstrosity they are now, the outbreak of war that was their second leg v Cove, and the pumping by Bonnyrigg that finally relegated them.

I never really had any ill will for them in the past, but now they're fully entrenched as one of the biggest B Team enthusiasts in the Lowland League and are the most hypocritical club there I would genuinely like to see them liquidated.

Brian Wake my Lord, Brian Wake

Brian Wake my Lord, Brian Wake

Oh Lord, Brian Wake

Winner gets £100,000, runner-up £60,000. That's worth taking seriously.

Wow that’s big money for any club at this level - definitely worth us taking it seriously.  I thought the prize money was peanuts and was wondering if you had got the decimal in the wrong place but I looked it up and stand corrected!

Dont really have any particular ill-feeling towards them other than the place and their 20 finger fans being absolute weird. It's an absolute hovel of a place really

22nd March 2011. We won 2-0 there in front of a sparse midweek crowd.

The local yokels outside the ground tanned the green machine as we were pulling out of the car park with a routine three points.

Held a grudge ever since and their relegation to the Lowland League, never to return was probably the best non-Morton related event I’ve ever witnessed with my own eyes in the history of Scottish club football. Looking forward to them going to the East of Scotland Premier in the next few years, as they go through a long and painful decline that ultimately leads to death.

Oh, and they also voted for the B Teams.

Airdrie got £50k for winning it last year. They announced that the prize money was shooting up earlier this summer when they announced the new format.

Definitely makes it something that can't be ignored and it's about time we got the tinpot day in the sun of finally winning this thing.

To be played the weekend of Saturday 7th September, Scotland away to Portugal on the 8th.

It'll be delightful to see that rancid little club of B Team supporting scabs again. Get a full strength team out, I want a club record win for us and record defeat for them.

I'd go easy on the record win chat given how our most recent visit to Fife went.

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

IIRC, Moore got fucking hounded that day.

Yep - was his last game in charge. Three rudderless defeats followed before Sheils arrived for his short spell.

McGhee needs some support, there's no-one backing him up.
Hayes playing it forward, Bell being forced to do it all alone, now forward from Marr, here's Ritchie, still Andy Ritchie, look at the control...

That is a marvellous goal from Andy Ritchie. Twenty minutes on the clock and Morton's supporters come alive. A goal which epitomises the control, the arrogance, the cheek of Andy Ritchie.

I’m a pedantic prick, so I can’t resist, sorry. Pretty sure Moore’s last game in charge was the 5-1 home defeat by Livingston.

Yes - I was a bit drowsy this morning and looked at the wrong 5-1 scoreline.

The Cowden defeat was indeed toxic, but Moore hung on for another month.

As above - speaks volumes for a season when the same doing happened twice in the space of six weeks. Same for 03-04, when we contrived to lose by that same scoreline three different ways.

Still got bad memories of a 5-1 humping after singing "Oh I'd rather be from Baghdad than from Fife" in one of their pubs. 2013?

I’m sure Dougie scored for us that day, although I’ve tried hard to blank the 2013-14 season from my memory (the win at Celtic Park aside).
