Tbh that's exactly where I think we're headed but will see with my own eyes tomorrow night

Certainly looks like it off the back of Saturdays performance but league cup group stages are rarely a reliable indicator of what's to come. Every team who won promotion from any level last season went out at the group stage and Dipo Akinyemi was branded a bit of a dud IIRC after going through all 4 group games without a goal. I have my concerns over the team also but it's quite early to be this pessimistic about the season ahead. Hopefully with a few more games to gel, the injured players returning and another couple of additions things will start to look a bit more positive.

Would like to see some changes tonight but I'll put a disclaimer in there that Dougie won't change a lot. Broadfoot has to be dropped although going by Saturday most of the team could join him.

                  Mullen

Ballantyne Baird Boyes Delaney

             Gillespie Wilson

    Garrity       Lyall       Moffat

                     Davies

Murdoch/ Woods, Broadfoot, Blues, Oboy, Bearne, Reynolds.

We haven't had any word on corr, King or Shaw but I know Corr was training before the game on Saturday which is promising.

Squad is crying out for a number 9 with experience of this league and an absolute cunt in the middle of the park.

Exactly the team I expect to see tonight.

Corr and King both took part in the warm up at the weekend, so we may see them on the bench. Not heard anything about Shaw, or even seen any pictures of him being around the squad.

Is there to be a stream of tonight's game?

I'm not going to write Davies and Reynolds off after one game there was obviously a reason Imrie brought them here particularly with Davies the fact he was signed way back in January.

I’m not overly concerned right now as it’s still very early and I’m not judging everyone after just one competitive fixture, albeit a horrendous effort. However, it has crossed my mind that Davies was never supposed to actually be a starter for us. At the point he was signed Dougie may have thought he had a chance of some combination of Oakley, Muirhead, Crawford still being here, possibly all three. Maybe Davies was only ever supposed to be a backup that came off the bench for the last 20-30 minutes of games to change it up a bit. I don’t know. But a pretty big response is needed tonight regardless of whether we feel qualifying is a possibility or not.

Im working tonight so going to miss the game unfortunately. With the stream do you have to watch it “live” or can it be watched later on? Keen to get it and catch it after.

Anyone know if the ticket office will be open or is it all online stuff now?

Fresh stain on the floor when I moved in. He may have checked out short of a useful amount of blood.

Lucky not to be 1-0 down. Brechin player missed ball by inches sliding in to tap it in from couple of yards out.

Probably a coincidence but we've played some really nice football since he came on.

Delaney still doesn’t impress me, his first touch is woeful and positionally all over the place. We’ve controlled possession here without doing too much, Garrity’s chance the closest we’ve came to scoring. Moffat showing up well, pressing well and always available for a pass. We’re badly lacking that physical presence up top.

Absolutely grim. Look like we could play all season and not score. Two best chances have fallen to Brechin including one that would have been a howler from Mullen and to cap it off our best ball playing defender taken off injured for Broadfoot.

Can totally see what we're trying to do this season (or pre-season) but its so disjointed it's unbelievable.

I said on another thread, or earlier on in this one, this will take quite some time to bed in properly and even then for it to be effective, we need to equally as good without the ball and in defence. We look shaky in that respect atm.

TIME FOR CHANGE!

What fucking game are you watching? This game is utterly devoid of nice football and we look dreadful.

Every caveat about early in the season, team needing time to gel etc still applies, but this is a team we need to gel in time to compete in the Championship in a fortnight and right now very few of them are showing any sign of being better than a Highland League team. A charitably delayed Davie Irons rule is very close to being invoked on at least four of these new signings.
