If they were faultless in the matter then they have every right to 'demand' a replay. I'm sure if we had similarly missed out we too would be feeling aggrieved. It will be interesting to see the response from the SFA.
Toby Posted July 29, 2024 Posted July 29, 2024 Have to admit I sort of want them to get their replay, and of course get pumped out a second time. Let’s be honest, if there’s one thing that rancid mob love more than anything, it’s to be the victims of some perceived miscarriage of justice (see their relegation in 2020). This carry on will only go onto reinforce the sentiment amongst that mob that someone's out to get them, when the reality is that this is down to incompetence rather than an anti-Partick agenda. Giving them a scarcely deserved replay would cut out the victim complex until the next mild inconvenience, but after watching Motherwell’s performance yesterday, I’m not sure I’d trust them to see them off a second time.

Imagine thinking Morton's subs list would ever roll over onto page 2...
Ton in Shawlands Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 It's funny because it's them. Apart from that it's just another example of Scottish Football finding unneccessary ways to look tin-pot.

Why the 4th official took a screenshot of page 1 of the pdf rather than just having the pdf is anyone's guess. Why Partick just bent over and made an alternative sub rather than checking themselves or demanding the officials check is also bewildering.

In any case, thanks for the breakdown of the system. Seems like the officials managed to f^€k up something incredibly simple.

Yeah, the 4th official took a screenshot of page 1 when both clubs had their 9th sub listed on page 2. Even stranger, he noticed Motherwell had a 9th and wrote it down manually in his notebook but missed the Partick 9th sub even though it was written on the same line in the pdf. Motherwell brought on said 9th sub whilst Partick were told theirs wasn't on the teamsheet. So he chose to have a screenshot of most of the teamlines and 1 name written separately in his notes and missing 1, rather than just having the pdf. Madness. Partick can still shut up though.
Cet Homme Charmant Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 It would have been pant-wetting hilarious if he had got on and scored to win the game, only for the pencil-necked desk-jokeys to award the tie to Motherwell for them fielding an ineligible player
TONofmemories Posted July 31, 2024 Posted July 31, 2024 An error Morton would have made in years gone by under the likes of Gillian Donaldson. Comedy stuff TIME FOR CHANGE!
SassenachTon Posted July 31, 2024 Posted July 31, 2024 Has anyone thought that a slightly smaller font would get everyone on page 1? Or is that too simple?
The Bewilderedbeast Posted August 7, 2024 Posted August 7, 2024 I'm just being curious, anyone heard what happened to the cup thrower?

If we’re doing it in chronological order, it’ll probably be second/third in the queue behind the guy “allegedly” calling Todorov a refugee, alongside the steward “allegedly “saying Reynolds is paid with fruit and before the kid “allegedly” being attacked outside Firhill at the weekend. I wouldn’t hold your breath.
