Seems Dougie's been working on it since the summer.

Like the cut of his jib.

Yeah, having now watched that, this guy's clearly a professional, does things the right way. I'm sure he'll be fit and ready to go.

Looking forward to his HAT-TRICK against basement minnows Airdrie tomorrow.

Teams will be starting to do their business now and get agreements in place and players heads turned. Getting longer term deals is the best protection we can get albeit a small gamble but another win or two and we're safe.

Unless there's a significant mark-up, what motive does a player have to waive free agency to sign a PCA now? Any business being done now is business that we wouldn't be competing with in the summer.m anyway.

Meanwhile, the players that we do have a chance of keeping are really not flouncing out the door in a huff because their renewal terms weren't slapped down sooner.

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

Great signing. Looking forwards to seeing him in action today.

"Any nation given the opportunity to regain its national sovereignty and which then rejects it is so far beneath contempt that it is hard to put words to it."

Didn’t see that one coming at all. If we can manage to keep both strikers and the base of our defence fit then we certainly have the quality to be looking upwards in the table, but that’s going to come down to luck.

Well done to all involved in getting this done.

That’s probably the most articulate and professional interview I’ve seen from an incoming Morton player. Really impressive.

Mon Eh Tomi.

Maybe this will see Adeloye through the middle and Stuparevic out on the right, cutting in on his left. A bit like the way we had things last year with Muirhead? Feel relatively positive that this will be a success as big Phil is much more mobile than Muirhead.

Adeloye is the type to score all kinds of goals aswell so we just need to get that service into him for the remainder of the season and hopefully that’ll see us finish as high up as we can.

I’m not sure that’s really Stuparevic’s game. I guess he wouldn’t be the first player to convert their positon if he was used in that way.

Out of interest I had a Quick Look at his Transfermarkt stats which show him having played on the right 16 times out of 184 appearances so far in his career.

Hopefully it has a positive effect on Stuparevic too. Whilst he's always a threat in and around the box, felt he's lacked something recently. Hopefully the competition will give him an edge back.

I'd like to see someone play a bit closer to him. Think he's isolated a bit at times and had to drop too deep.

Do we still need to cover whatever percentage of his wages we were paying? If not I’d hope we’re trying to secure another loan.

Imrie says in interview they are waiting on results of a scan for adeloye.. back to the drawing board for another striker..

Saw that and I'm not sure if he meant Shug needed a scan too?

Definitely need a few players in that can step in to the starting 11 if shug and Adeloye are going to be out long term. Could be critical to our season.

There's a storm on the horizon

And for that I can't see the sun

For I'll keep a waiting on the pavement

For the ice cream van to come

Critical to what exactly? We were out of the cup before the advent calendars were open, and should still have plenty to avoid facing a relegation play-off. 1 point per game (i.e. relegation form over a season) would very likely be enough.

If our existing squad can't step up to the plate in the absence of key players - once this stupid fixture pile-up is over and we're playing once a week again - then that provides evidence to clear out at least some of them in the summer.  Throwing bad money (from where?) after good should not be an option.

Can't see any more players coming in will have to go with what we have.

Hopefully both scans aren't bad news and they aren't out for the season if they are then I would be looking behind us rather than in front.

Typical when we are on a good run we lose arguably our best player in  Wilson and then both recognised strikers one for the rest of the season.

The schedule really is a joke and even with a bigger squad players at this levels shouldn't be playing 4 games in 10 days.

On and off the park our luck has been awful this season. Almost everything has went wrong and we’re still relatively comfortable in the league, so staying up obviously has to be priority until it’s mathematically confirmed. Bringing in even more players probably isn’t needed to reach that goal.

Our first number 9 ended up in the slammer, the second has ruptured his ACL and now our number 99 is needing a scan after 2 games, so we should probably stop printing shirts with the number 9 on them.
