He’s a decent player but probably too similar to what we already have. We need some physical presence up front. Currently it’s just wee guys.

I'm more concerned about the midfield than the attack just now tbh.

after scoring two in 7 mins against ourselves back in November...

Would be a really good signing at this level from what I’ve saw.

He also scored the following week against Dundee Utd. And here ends his contribution for the season.

3 goals in 30 suggest he's currently far from 'a really good signing at this level'.

Aye wouldn't judge him on scoring those goals against us, we were all over the place that night.

Struggled to cement a regular starting place for Dunfermline, starting just 11 of his 28 league appearances. A very good player at this level would have been starting every week for a poor Pars team.

Aye, as far as I can see he's only ever started 17 first team games at 22 years old. His early promise at Celtic might count for something but we've already got enough unproven wingers. I'd rather see us fill out the defence and get an out-and-out number 9 in for the league cup starting.

So far:

GK - Mullen

DF - Baird, Ballantyne, Broadfoot

MID - Blues, Gillespie, King, O'Boy, Wilson

FWD - Bearne, Davies, Garrity, Reynolds

Imagine they'll be looking to add another 'keeper, full back, centre back, a centre forward and a pacey attacking midfielder.

Agree with pretty much all of that although I'm not sure we'll see a pacey, attacking midfielder. I think we'll sign someone who can play in a similar style and position to Robbie Crawford. Unsure who that player is though.

Interesting to see how he gets on. Other than a cameo against us I don't think he was first choice for Dunfermline but he at least has experience at this level.

A very Dougie signing clearly a lot of potential from a young age but maybe not lived up to it as of yet.

I was impressed with him in the games I seen him play in last season. Happy with that.

Last season was his first season playing mens football so hopefully he kicks on again next season.

Played as a number 10 against us when he scored 2 I'm sure and can play out wide too so can see why Dougie moved for him. Quite pacey too from memory.

Played for Celtic in a League Cup Final a couple of years ago so must be a player in there.

Will be interesting to see how he does. Every confidence in Dougie getting more out of him that McPake did.

Had a look at the list of players currently without a club and there's a few names that stand out-

Charlie telfer

Paul allan

Jake Hastie

Morgan boyes

Joel nouble

Abo obileye

Kerr mcinroy

Tommy robson

Dylan corr

Ross millen

Imagine a few of these players will have better offers but id like to think this is the kind of players we are looking at.

Been wondering about left back options out there and couldnt think of many, Robson would be a decent option. Championship experience.

Corr well liked at Raith and rejected a  contract to play more so would be a good addition. Probably have a few offers. Would imagine Scott Brown is aware of him from his time at Celtic.

Always liked McInroy, think he'd be a good signing for us and would give us some quality in the middle of the park. Will certainly have a few options you'd imagine. If Partick want him, we've no chance!

Telfer had a good season but doubt he'd entertain a move back here( must have something lined up too) and don't think we need Millen anymore unless we move Ballantyne over.

I see in imries interview he hints he has a few more signings lined up, hopefully they’ll be in for the cup starting to let them settle in. Where do we think needs strengthening still? Priority for me is still centre half, fullback (depending on what side ballentyne is used) creative midfielder and centre forward. That would take us to a squad of 17 (18 if you include o’boy and 19 including young GK murdoch)

after that, would that us be done for now? We possibly wait it out for a few loans later into August, or alternatively find a few players like Grimshaw and power as we have previously to boost the squad.

I thought there would have been news about O'Connor a lot sooner considering most players who signed a new deal did so weeks ago.

If he goes it's not a massive loss one good season but other than that nothing stand out about him, we seem to be doing business early and not waiting on players making decisions which is a good thing IMO.

Hopefully a few more key players in the door and I would imagine we might see quite a few trialists in the friendlies also.

Was there not a deadline for those offer contracts that has long since passed?
It would be nice to have something official from the club but it’s safe to assume O’Connor is off. Can’t say I’m that fussed if he is away he didn’t look great last season and I’m sure Imrie will have adequate replacements identified anyway

here today, gone to hell
