Wonder if one of them is Cammy Logan, defender who was with QOS last season. Transfers Scotland said on Twitter we were after him.

If it is, it would be an unexpected rare correct one from that mouth breather of a twitter fantasist - formerly David Vize.

Made up shit and trawling forum rumours is his MO.

That article's a bit of a mess.

Only says we have signed Davies so far and claims we are linked to the wrong Cammy Ballantyne.

Could the 2 in question be Lamar and the right Ballantyne that we have already signed anyway?

Having read the full article,  that's entirely possible.

Fecking annoying if it is

Aye.

Claiming we are chasing the St Johnstone Cammy Ballantyne just as we sign the Airdrie one was enough to file the lot in the bin before noticing it missed signings Lamar as well.

You'd expect a few to be close purely on the basis of we have a game 2 weeks today and 12 players!

Interesting that Dale thinks we will have a better team than last season, hopefully that means we are speaking to a good calibre of player, nae pressure big man!  Ballantyne certainly encouraging.

Anyone know when we are back for pre-season?

Assume Monday or soon after.

Ayr sign Scott mcmann. Hoped we would have been interested but dint think we could afford him.

There's a storm on the horizon

And for that I can't see the sun

For I'll keep a waiting on the pavement

For the ice cream van to come

Surely we see some movement in the coming days. Was very pleased with Ballantyne and curious to see what Reynolds and Davies bring but we are maybe what, another 6/7 players off?

13 first team players signed up so far I believe, so I'm sure the club will be aiming for another handful through the door in the next week or so in time for the friendlies going by Dale's comments at the time they were arranged. Would be good to see some of the young lads going into the second years of their apprenticeships get some minutes as well in these games, with no reserve league anymore it would be good to give them some experience and give us a glimpse of what we've got coming through.

So far:

GK - Mullen

DF - Baird, Ballantyne, Broadfoot

MID - Blues, Gillespie, King, O'Boy, Wilson

FWD - Bearne, Davies, Garrity, Reynolds

Imagine they'll be looking to add another 'keeper, full back, centre back, a centre forward and a pacey attacking midfielder.

Really hoping our future signings have genuine quality and proven at this level otherwise we’re in trouble next season. Our current squad is extremely thin.

Ballantyne does. Of our three signings it's Davies and Reynolds who aren't tested at this level. I suspect that will end up being the ratio: one third established Championship level pros and two thirds wildcards.

You would hope and imagine there might be one or two signings by the end of the week.

I think you might find we do our business according to the tele article a lot quicker this summer than last, we are obviously still very thin on the ground but that's to be expected at this time of season with some many players being released or joining other clubs.

I would hope we would hear about O'Connor this week he is the only we seem to be waiting on but that  might been due to Dougie being on holiday.

So far I would say the signings have been interesting, Ballantyne is proven at the level and is a really smart bit of business. The other two have never played at this level so it's very much a gamble.

No idea why but I have a very good feeling about Jordan Davies hitting the ground running straight away.

I see Owen Moffat has been released from Blackpool, a player where previously linked with, after scoring two in 7 mins against ourselves back in November. Plays on either wing or in as a 10.

Would be a really good signing at this level from what I’ve saw. front three of Moffat Davies reynolds could be an exciting dynamic front three, supported by bearne, garrity and a new centre forward from the bench I’d be happy with our attacking options, definitely need that oakely type focal point somewhere in the squad though.

He’s a decent player but probably too similar to what we already have. We need some physical presence up front. Currently it’s just wee guys.
