Also, although some of the subs were enforced, Imrie making wee tweaks to the shape when they got back into it in spells meant we controlled the game. Definitely has Coyle sussed.

Also a nice wee touch getting Strapp on at the end.

We're as good as any other team in the league on our day. So frustrating to not have a few more points, because we've been so close to getting them. Fine margins from being in the title battle on Friday night. As it is, we hope for the best but play like that again and we'll put ourselves in the position to take the good bit of luck if it comes.

Outstanding today.

What a difference it is having Quitongo back in the team. Caused them all sorts of problems today with his direct approach and tenacity. Pass marks for everyone - special mentions to Quitongo, Miller and Crawford.

Staggering to think that rabble can still go up as champions.

I said last week that our playoff chances were totally dependent on other results going our way - all we could to was to get our heads down, do the job we’re well capable of doing, and to make it 3 wins out of 3. That’s exactly what the boys are doing. Whatever happens, it’s an absolute stormer of a way to end this season, and a real statement of intent for the next. Well done to Dougie and the boys. Very proud of you all.

At least we now have 2 possible options as long as we win;

Partick lose away at Raith or Inverness/Ayr draw and we make top 4.

If both happen we are 3rd.

Hopefully Raith have a few injured players back along with their suspended players fron last week and make a right good game of it

What a fucking day. Brilliant effort and performance from every single player. Cappielow bouncing too. Love this my club, this team and Dougie and his staff.

Haven't celebrated a goal like that in a long time. Superb ball and finish from Robbie.

Mon the fucking ton

There's a storm on the horizon

And for that I can't see the sun

For I'll keep a waiting on the pavement

For the ice cream van to come

Fucking excellent today to a man. Even Crawford coming on to have a good contribution off the bench.  How good was Millar, he's really come onto a game after a poor start.

Really hope we get into the playoffs now, we're coming right back into form. Nothing to fear from any diddy in this division. Praying Oakley and Muirhead are uninjured.

Big George IS injured... hamstring.

Agreed but I think Quitongo has a special impact against that opponent that he doesn't in other games. It's a good option to have - although the end product was frustrating in the first half.

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

Fair enjoyed that today - for all their goal was a great finish, it was completely undeserved.

A great win where every player gave their all. Good atmosphere too.

And GIRFU the "Paisley Spiders".

McGhee needs some support, there's no-one backing him up.
Hayes playing it forward, Bell being forced to do it all alone, now forward from Marr, here's Ritchie, still Andy Ritchie, look at the control...

That is a marvellous goal from Andy Ritchie. Twenty minutes on the clock and Morton's supporters come alive. A goal which epitomises the control, the arrogance, the cheek of Andy Ritchie.

The 'frustating ' thing you're talking about is purely down to the fact Jai isnt confident on his ;other foot'.

Time and again he doubled back to get the ball onto his 'proper' foot.

OK... I'm gonnae say what I did when I was told at school my left foot was rubbish (and it was).

I spent hour after hour battering a ball against a wall and only allowed myself to hit it with my left foot.

I got better and had confidence in my left foot. Wonder if some players today should maybe batter a ball against the wall.

No, the main reason why the end product was frustrating was decision-making, like running the ball from the penalty box out for a goal kick in the first half. He's playing at this level partly for that reason though.

Brilliant afternoon’s entertainment. Some of my own observations from the game; Baird and particularly O’Connor were absolutely outstanding. On their day, I genuinely can’t remember a better central defensive pairing in all my years watching Morton.

I was also delighted for Schwake today, after having gone through a difficult few weeks not so long ago. Thought he dealt very well with just about everything that lot threw at him and was looking a lot more like himself again.

Also, Robbie Crawford’s goal reminded me of Stuart Gray’s winner in the 3-2 win over Partick in 1997, one of my favourite ever Morton goals from one of my favourite ever Morton games. Sadly that was never caught on camera, but I’ll be sure to watch Robbie’s goal on repeat for a good while anyway.

What a great day! Had to laugh about a Queen’s Park fan talking about “taking care of business against Morton” during the week, as if it was a routine task. 10 points from 12 against these tramps, pipe down.

That was a beautiful goal - IIRC it started from our own box. I was behind the goal when he scored that one.
