Match Preview/Thread - Morton vs Cove Rangers (25th February)

Started decent enough but the game has become very stop start and scrappy which suits the away team. In that situation Grimshaw needs to be switched to right back and Pigniatello subbed for a more effective option to break them down. It's just not a type of game where he is needed.

Cove are giving us no time on the ball in their half, while we are too passive and letting them hold it up, turn and pass under far less pressure than Dundee got. That needs to end.

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

Embarrassing first half performance. Steeam working better but the camera graphics are switched on and appearing on the stream. Pretty amateur.

We certainly need to up the tempo a lot. And learn to take our chances. That miss with an open goal was horrendous.

Cove's pressing is causing us all kinds of problems, we're far too passive which is letting them both turn it into a scrap and win it. The number of crosses we've had into the box was always likely to result in a goal, despite being tidy in possession in spells we've not created nearly enough, absolutely howling miss from McGrattan aside.

Badly lacking creativity and some urgency here. We look like playing all day and not breaking them down. One-twos, a defender pushing forward into space - it's all too predictable and easily covered right now.

This team just doesn’t know when it’s beat it’s fucking tremendous!

Anyone else starting to think we could actually go all the way? The run in for the rest of the season is far in our favour.
Win next week and I’m going to be a nervous wreck for the rest of the season lol!

here today, gone to hell

Hands too cold to type all my thoughts just now but I thought Cammy Blues was brilliant again. My MOTM easily.

Having subs to change the game makes all the difference even when you're not playing well. Muirhead goal and assist, Miller direct and won the pen, Crawford and Ambrose brought composure. What a team.

Looked like it was going to be one of those days especially when McGrattan blazed his chance over the bar. Fair play to the lads for sticking at it and Dougies changes made a massive difference.

Shay logan and Naismith are total cunts🤣

There's a storm on the horizon

And for that I can't see the sun

For I'll keep a waiting on the pavement

For the ice cream van to come
