Match Preview/Thread - Morton vs Inverness (23rd April)

Worst performance I've seen from us in a long time. We've been poor before under Dougie but most teams we play against know theyre in a game. Absolutely no intensity from the players and second to every ball.

Thought I saw Brandon move in to midfield before half time but might be mistaken but wouldn't surprise me to see us go to back four.

Edit to add seems like it was after the goal. Shows how much this game has grabbed my attention.

Good people will do good things, bad people will do bad things, but only with religion do good people do bad things!

Blues needs hooked at HT.

Lyon on.

Wilson is useless on a booking (you can insert your own joke there) so I'd take him off instead. I'd be shoving Blues on a taxi to Grangemouth at 4:45pm though.

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

Their scorer could have sat on the ball and had a read of the papers before sticking that away given that none of our team thought to mark him or even close him down.

Limping our way to safety.

McGhee needs some support, there's no-one backing him up.
Hayes playing it forward, Bell being forced to do it all alone, now forward from Marr, here's Ritchie, still Andy Ritchie, look at the control...

That is a marvellous goal from Andy Ritchie. Twenty minutes on the clock and Morton's supporters come alive. A goal which epitomises the control, the arrogance, the cheek of Andy Ritchie.

Aye its genuinely ridiculous how often we concede goals from not closing down long shots. Thought Wilson had helped put a stop to that when he came in but its been creeping in again recently.

A few months ago Inverness wouldn't be allowed to pick out easy passes out from the back at Cappielow: they'd be getting hounded into rushed 50-50 balls forward. That's part of what made us effective.

The intensity has dropped off and it starts from the front, and then a midfield that isn't equipped to press the ball without leaving acres of space around them.

Blues must have inherited the locker of incriminating photos that Sean McGinty had during his spell at the club.

Last week we were shite this week is a fkn abomination utter fkn pish start to finish the majority of this team should be thanked n let go after next Friday.

Better that they let their true colours show now than in August, that's for sure. It has been a difficult, transition season in all ways and they look to have got the job done, but the last three games point to the clear need for upgrades if we have any serious ambition for next season.

With Cove coming up we can't afford just to stand still anyway.
