Ton in Shawlands
On the Partick Thistle site it says they've sent tickets to Morton for them to handle sales & distribution, there won't be pay at the gate. The online ticket sales don't cater for away fans. I can't find anything regarding a stream of this. As a Glasgow based Ton supporter it looks like I've got a free weekend even thought it's only 3 miles from my front door.
Renfrew
500 tickets available in Smiths in person, 9-5 Monday to Friday… not much use to a large number of people unfortunately
RossMcC1874
I was going to nip down to smiths as I have half day tomorrow and wanted to check if they had any left. Sure they won't sell out that quick?
ChampTon
The club really need to get their act together for fans from out of town. If you can't make the trip down to Greenock or don't have anyone in town that can pick you up a ticket you're missing out. I know it's a lot to ask for in 2021 but surely we can get some form of online ticket purchasing? I understand for away games as there is limited supply but for home games in particular it's stupid not to have a system in place.

The only thing Morton could have done to help out of towners for the Partick game, based on the fact the club received a pack of tickets in the post, would have been pushing to get them sent down in time to sell them at the game on Saturday there. The fact that we only confirmed to QOS the afternoon before the game that away fans could attend, pushing Partick would have been a bit rich coming from us. I agree in general though, being one myself, that far more thought needs to be put in to ticketing arrangements with out of towners in mind. Complained about this many times in the past. They could make it as simple as taking orders over the phone getting someone to hand out the tickets at the gate for a half hour period or something. Surely someone from the club will be there anyway. Or come to some sort of arrangement with Partick depending on numbers....
Jack Bauer
Proof if ever it was needed that the club are still run in the format of a wee Sweetie shop. Almost farcical. JB. Power To The Powerless, Strength Unto The Weak!
TRVMP
The website implies that you can also get tickets* at Cappielow 9-5 (no mention of a lunch break) and says specifically that Smiths don't take phone orders. That implies that Cappielow does take phone orders, which they usually do, but it's not actually stated. I don't get what's so hard about this. Why can't they just do things properly and spell it out? "Phone this number between these times, or go to this shop at these times, or come to Cappielow between these times." Then if Cappielow runs out of tickets, get the excess from Smiths (so that they can be sold by phone) and update online; if Smiths runs out of tickets, update online. This stuff really ain't hard. It's not like they have to deal with online sales or anything like that, it's all offline, why not just take ten minutes and think it through and then do it? *"Briefs." I am a huge fan of calling them briefs. It's up there with shock troops, war chest etc.

Lol wut The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before.. So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

AyrshireTon
So I'm going to have to phone in during my lunch hour tomorrow and hope that they can get the tickets posted to me by Friday? I was looking forward to this game and taking the boy to his first away game in ages. Starting to think that we won't be there. McGhee needs some support, there's no-one backing him up. Hayes playing it forward, Bell being forced to do it all alone, now forward from Marr, here's Ritchie, still Andy Ritchie, look at the control... That is a marvellous goal from Andy Ritchie. Twenty minutes on the clock and Morton's supporters come alive. A goal which epitomises the control, the arrogance, the cheek of Andy Ritchie. Alibi
Do Thistle still do live streams? Looking at their website, there is nothing listed since restrictions were listed so looks like they may have stopped. "Any nation given the opportunity to regain its national sovereignty and which then rejects it is so far beneath contempt that it is hard to put words to it." Madton
Worst case scenario for an out of towner, buy a ticket online for the Thistle end any time up until kick off and hope they let you jump over to the away end. Really don't get why Thistle wouldn't have ticket sales/cash gate for away fans on match day. Surely every penny counts for them after moaning like a bitch about the grant money/cost of relegation. RossMcC1874
Just a wee update on tickets for anyone. Not sure how the extra 200 will be available though nice to see them selling out and people backing the team.

Seriously?! How hard can it be to get the unsold tickets returned to Firhill for (let's say) 12pm so that Morton fans wanting to pay on the gate can do so? There are going to plenty of Glasgow-based Morton fans who would be tempted to turn upon the day. Do they want the match revenue or not? Stop making getting to football so difficult. We're also out of town, but north of Glasgow. Quite happy to drive in for the game tomorrow, but really not wanting to schlep over to Greenock first if I can help it.
