If they were playing Dundee or the like I'd be more understanding of the away support, but ICT wouldn't take that many.

The Inverclyde restrictions are utterly draconian and need to be loosened.

Yeah. All I was really trying to say is that it's not too far away from normality over there, and they weren't too far down on a normal attendance. There's no hiding the problems we have as a club, and the task we've got to reconnect with the fanbase, but crazy staggered entry times, face masks, not having away fans, and restrictions on where fans can go in the ground are not necessary and will be putting people off.

On the other hand, from a personal point of view, it was my first game back and I actually forgotten how much I enjoyed being at a game. I'd been enjoying the streams but, even with the restrictions at Cappielow (albeit I got lucky with the entry times), I won't be watching them again unless I have no other option. So much better being back in the cowshed.

Why are restrictions being specified by local councils anyway? Surely there should be Scottish Government rules that are the same for all championship clubs? I can understand 50k capacity stadia being different but why is Cappielow different from Somerset Park or Palmerston as far as restrictions are concerned?

"Any nation given the opportunity to regain its national sovereignty and which then rejects it is so far beneath contempt that it is hard to put words to it."

So that's having to ask for permission now binned for most of our games then, bar a big cup draw.

It's 2000 standing so I wouldn't be so sure about that. The club may have to file further stupid wee applications if it wants to combine capacity above that level.

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

At least gives us more option to tell the council to GTF if they are still being dicks about it. Settle for the 2k.
