Tops preordered and season tickets purchased. Morton might as well take my bank card😂

There's a storm on the horizon

And for that I can't see the sun

For I'll keep a waiting on the pavement

For the ice cream van to come

They are probably just picking a stock Nike/Adidas item from a catalogue and won't have much actual choice on the design. It's particularly obvious in the EFL for teams that wear Puma, they are all wearing the same shirt but in different colours.

White Label aren't for everyone but at least we get to create bespoke kits - even if we had Joma (or Macron) we'd probably only get to bespoke design the home kit, with the away and third being differently coloured versions of Swansea's away kit from the season before.

They aren't though. Feel free to try find another Umbro kit from last season with diamond insignia.

Airdrie have had bespoke kits from Under Armour, Joma and now Umbro. Deals negotiated via Football Nation who act like an intermediary between manufacturers and a whole host of teams.

This one for Kenyan side AFC Leopards is pretty great. Has a plain back, but if the hoops could be made to go all the way round it would be 👍

Nice. Don't get the infatuation  with hoops all round  decent regardless.

I actually picked up the Umbro teamwear hoops. Quite like it so a bargain in my book.Screenshot_20210630-162023_Outlook.jpg

And another thing - the hoops on the sleeves angling down visually annoys me. Why not just have the hoops like the above?

But you can tell me to drink something lethal. Do we all have to be nicey nicey

Did I?  That must have been one of those proud moments that I can't remember.  Happy that I did, Groomed-arse ;)

Anyway, that's no more or less than telling you to go and play tig on the motorway, or take a long walk off a short pier.  What you said was a lot different.

I bet you haven't got the balls to say that to them either.

Sure VSN said last time that it's to make it flow better with the main hoops. Said no other hooped top manufacturer ever.

And of course, it's not like that on the graphics Smiths are using.

Let's be honest, we'd be pissed as hell if we went for an off the shelf brand make and slapped a Morton badge on to it which is in all likelihood what we'd do.

I've no issue with the quality of the last few strips to be honest. They've washed and lasted well.

I'd rather pay the £40-45 quid on something bespoke than an off the shelf brand with our bade put on at the same price.

TIME FOR CHANGE!

I'm not saying you can't get bespoke kits, just that it's not always as simple as saying "why don't we have x manufacturer" because then we'd sell more kits cos it has an Adidas label on it, which I don't think is necessarily true.

In my experience club's with bigger brand kits are dealing with an intermediary with access to a limited design template or catalogue, but as you've both shown that seems to be changing and the intermediaries are getting better/smarter.

Andy Barrowman is the Joma rep for Scotland and has approached the club (Hawke) before but didn't get anywhere apparently, i'm sure the club get approached all the time by reps from various suppliers though.

It's absolutely 100% true with kids, and probably a decent portion of adults too.

You're speaking like someone who never took an absolute roasting when he turned up to school in Lonsdale trainers.

Didn't we run with some shan, Nike catalogue efforts about ten years ago (as well as Puma for definite)? Based on CEO Ironman's figures our strip sales were still piss-poor.

The sweet spot is a combination of irrational appeal to daft weans and something with genuine thought and credible design behind it. Perhaps if MCT ever get their hands on the books then we can make an informed judgment, but I'd be surprised if we weren't doing a decent turn in terms of jerseys sold as it is.

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

He probably went 20 yards wide of the office door and slammed into a wall.

I don’t feel it’s right that Andy Barrowman’s name gets mentioned on here without anyone pointing out that he was involved in the greatest swap deal in the history of football.

Carry on.

Weans who are worried about who makes the football top they were wrong be sauntering about in any Morton top
