Pre-Season

Defence looked fine as expected. Youngsters like mcgrattan and Gallagher did themselves no harm and both keepers didn't put a foot wrong with the little they had to do.

Dare I say it but the issues seemed to mostly be the players kept over from the morton squad who stank out the joint last season.

Still very early in pre season though with players still to come in and the players to improve hopefully. Not overly concerned yet.

Good people will do good things, bad people will do bad things, but only with religion do good people do bad things!

Aren’t we supposed to be playing Alloa in a friendly today?

Yeah. Closed doors I'm sure.

There's a storm on the horizon

And for that I can't see the sun

For I'll keep a waiting on the pavement

For the ice cream van to come

As its closed door, seems unlikely.

Perhaps not under the old regime, but it's a piss-poor attitude that can be rooted out at little cost, right now. What other level of professional sport adopts a 'aye we'll play the game and let you know what the score was later' approach to pre-season?

This is GMFC's opportunity to generate interest in its forthcoming product. Fucking use it.

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

Dont disagree that our preseason schedule is shite.

Not sure who decide it is to be closed doors. I assume Alloa as the home team.

Anyway.

Wylie on the bench.

Does that mean we have sent GK trialist 2 to the McGill's open day...

At what point do we panic about our strikeforce continuing last season's trend of not scoring any goals even when not even up against real football teams?

Peter Weatherson is the greatest player since Ritchie, and should be assigned 'chairman for life'

The appropriate time was when we signed up the strikeforce from last season.
