I see the Team Ton sign ups started today and the kids were given flags, bur will they be allowed in with them on the stick.

Standing by for Gruppenfuher Helga to swoop

Wish I was as good at picking the lottery numbers.

Weans not being allowed in with their flags apparently.

If there's a ban on flags, why give them one as part of the package. Why not a scarf, hat or t-shirt?

There's plenty of weans with those flags in the ground.

Rome lost its appeal Bish? Have they finally excommunicated you? Or was the heat being turned up on that money resting in your account?

1) The shan turnstiles being fucked again for the opening home game of the season. Handheld scanners seemed to work just fine though - it's almost as if the 'upgrade' was a pointless white elephant project all along.

Get 'Iron Man' in The Hague for trashing Cappielow for this.

2) Our in-house catering didn't seem to go too well either, with the facilities, err, easily running out of pies at half time. 🤡

Not a having a wide range of products in the early days of operation might be reasonable, but really - if you're taking it in house then you can therefore fire up to Alexander's* in the dirty wee Port or any other local supplier to get sufficient supplies of the products you're actually planning to sell on match day.

Looks like an uphill struggle to achieve the dramatic 500% increase in catering sales that Raith claim funds their entire first team budget.

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

Also regarding catering. I tried to pay £3:50 for a steak pie but I had forgotten there is a minimum £5 spend before you can use anything other than cash. I ended up just not having a pie as I had no cash. Given I can buy stuff for under a pound in Tesco using my phone with no problem, what’s the problem here?q

Raith actually popped into my mind when you mentioned catering.  It was my first visit in a few years last season and I was very impressed at their set up.  Night and day from our tinpot operation.  Card payments, actual fizzy juice pumps as opposed to warm coke poured from a bottle, everything clearly defined on a menu, the staff not falling over each other trying to serve.  Basically the way it should be.  I've no idea what revenue it brings it but what a difference.

Perhaps theres a charge to club if it's under a fiver hence that rule? Could you not just have bought a juice/ Bovril as well?

I never even knew you could pay with card.  Is this new this season?

The fee for transactions below a certain level can result in a loss to the seller. Not an issue for the big boys who are able to negotiate better terms hence why lots of 'smaller' outlets have a minimum charge for card use.

As for running out of pies and juice at the first league home fixture that is completely unacceptable. The frequency with which we are pleaded with to attend Cappielow is rarely matched by the same effort to make the matchday experience worthwhile. Probably not a major issue for the regulars who are used to being treated with disdain but what impression does it give to those we encourage along? Sadly Morton continue to make promises but fail to deliver.

Ffs maybe it's just because I've never seen anyone pay by card.

I don't think they publicised it too much to be honest. Just a sign about the minimum 5er spend.

We never had this problem before until that Dale took over.

I went for a pie at 3.20, only to be told there was no hot food until half time. The queue at half time was all the way down to the stairs at the end of the Cowshed, so I tried again at 4.05 and the pie stall was shut. The pie stall staff saying 'oh this is a shambles since the club took it over' isn't exactly a professional look either. An absolute farce that needs sorted ASAP.

I would have bought an irn bru but they insisted it had to be poured into a paper cup so I declined. Takes 2 hands to eat a pie when it’s in a wee foil container and I don’t have 3 hands. I’ll remember to bring cash next game.

I was wondering if any other overseas fans have had problems paying for the livestream subscription? PayPal is the only payment option, but despite multiple attempts to pay with this method it kept getting rejected without any explanation. No idea why as I've used PayPal for all previous streaming payments.

Luckily I was given a one-off access code to get yesterday's match, so many thanks to Gareth for arranging that at short notice. Hopefully next week I can pay by another method, but I was wondering anyone else had issues with the PayPal payment. I used it last week for other purchases without a problem, so it's a bit annoying.

Wasn't there an issue last year where all the orders of the Matchwinner kits that chose PayPal had their payment refunded because the club hadn't sorted their PayPal registration or something.

They're not very good at the PayPal thing.
