So much for maximising income streams. There was barely a joined up approach to season tickets and new kits at the start of the season either. Maybe more understandable then when bang in the middle of a complicated takeover but no excuse now.
Popular Post Deego
I'm sure it'd be down the list of priorities, but I'd like to see some proper signage outside Cappielow. I was looking at this picture (doon below) the other day and it made me realise how shite it looks on Sinclair Street these days. I'm sure there must be a sponsorship opportunity to cover the cost. I think something like this (below) would be good covering the grey barrier from the Main Stand to the Cowshed (or part of it). Could have some wording around community owned, with some direction on signing up online. Think about the amount of people that drive through Sinclair Street during the week without giving Cappielow a second glance. There's a missed opportunity there IMO to make the place look at least somewhat alluring, rather than the factory vibe it gives off just now.

TRVMP
Yon big mural or whatever it is when you come in through the main stand gate, that was cool when that came in. (Is it still there?) We should be replicating that outside.
The Bewilderedbeast
Don't disagree with Deego, but, what's the likelihood of any such thing being left alone, particularly in the east end of Greenock. It would likely be defaced or damaged within a couple of days. Sad, but a fact of life in this area, the murals on Ann Street were ripped apart as were the Christmas decorations in the Port recently. Don't think it would be worth spending the money on it just to give some fuckwit a few minutes pleasure destroying it.

Maybe the old style, up high, sign would have to do.

GiGi
Mind when MCT had identified all this stuff last year and seen ways to make more money? Might want to get someone on to that. I don’t see why they have to wait on a supporter survey for an area that has previously been identified and mentioned about from MCT.
Popular Post TONofmemories
I see on twitter they're saying that if this is an area the survey shows as needing improved they'll prioritise it. Jesus fucking wept; abysmal. It shouldn't take a survey to know just how far behind they are on this. Not a single bit of Christmas marketing for anything that smiths sell. Tragic. 6 TIME FOR CHANGE! EanieMeany
That whole stream of replies is astonishing. It's hard to really know where to start, apart from the fact that the club is utterly, utterly doomed if that's how its owner communicates to the public. Makes you wonder what kind of shite goes on in private if that's what they're willing to say publicly. AWMSC

Popular Post vikingTON
What are these 'bigger priorities', other than 'sorting out the complete and utter nick of a first team, a problem that we caused through our gullibility and lack of standards in the summer'? If club officials have the time to conduct an investigation, hearing and judgment of a fan for stating facts at an away game, then they clearly have time to do something about the non-existent commercial side that will earn the club money instead of losing it. That would be a question of prioritising tasks rather than a lack of time. An utterly pathetic and risible excuse. Edited December 22, 2021 by vikingTON 4 The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before.. So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are
DumfriesTon
Just seen the Twitter conversation - how embarrassing. Why is it taking the results of a fan survey for them to decide if we should be doing more to raise our commercial income? Baffling.
EanieMeany
The other thing here is that the implication from this kind of thing is that the purpose of MCT is/was to acquire a football team for people who, as far as I can see (and I may be wrong), have not been in any way elected or exposed to any real scrutiny. How else are you meant to read "the owners don't have any involvement with the club" line? 1 1 AWMSC
Popular Post GiGi
Why do the club need feedback from the fans about non existant marketing and merch? It's up to them to do these things. Hi, we haven't done anything to reach out to you so could you go fill out a survey on your own time about why you're not buying stuff that we don't sell and haven't told you about? 6 Peter Weatherson is the greatest player since Ritchie, and should be assigned 'chairman for life'

Popular Post dunning1874
Whoever has been on that twitter account today needs to have their access removed forever, and frankly if it's a director we should be told who it is in the name of transparency so we can vote them out (if they ever want to tell us how that's possible, what with this being a transparent organisation accountable to their members) because it betrays an amateurish mindset that will cause far bigger problems than just looking daft on twitter. This would be an absolutely ridiculous performance at any time, but to keep digging and digging to this extent the day after announcing a new manager when we should have a tone of relentless optimism and positivity coming from the club and their owners really is unbelievable. 6 Brian Wake my Lord, Brian Wake Brian Wake my Lord, Brian Wake Brian Wake my Lord, Brian Wake Oh Lord, Brian Wake
