MCT said they were involved in that third party chat, which to me lends a bit more credence to it.

Why must you have another option? If MCT tell Crawford, sorry, after consulting the fanbase neither option is acceptable, the ball is then firmly in GC's court. They're the ones desperate to get out remember. It's like when you buy a car and you know the seller is desperate to get rid of it, you're going to use that to your advantage when negotiating. Same here. MCT are in a far stronger negotiating position than GC, but I'm not sure they realise that.

And why do you assume nothing better will come along?  We were informed a financially better offer was rejected last summer.

It would not be unreasonable to assume, maybe CR will simply say F*CKIT, I'm losing money hand over fist and no end in sight. Best thing for me is to shut the doors and let whoever wants to deal with it deal with it. As far as everything else goes after that, well its on them not me. If he does decide to do that, well we would be well and truly F'd.

Lets be honest, end of this season, no-one on the payroll and no-one to lookout for or consider, just how hard would it be to close the place down? A lot easier than CR is getting it now. 

I really don't think anyone who is shouting for the 3rd option, really knows what to expect after the "deal" is done. How would you propose funding the season? How about all of the up front payments just to get the club prepared for next season...........Where is the money coming from? The club is on life-support and we really need to rely on MCT to get us the best deal possible. 

Now before I start getting sh*te from the usual folks, I'm simply stating an option that is available to CR. If the club was in any other business, the shutters would have been pulled down a long time ago. 

Ponder this though, no fans, no commercial activity, no TV, sponsorship threatened, no income....who in their right mind would want to own a football club.

We're all scunnered with the situation. IMO the bottom line is we either agree to either of the options presented or walk permanently away.

I note the Easdales have a portfolio worth 750mil, according to latest press reports. 

Wouldn't it be nice for them to buy the stadium, gift it to MCT and hail themselves as heroes forever more. Gives us a chance at starting a fresh, debt free.

Haven't seen anything to suggest they aren't still under the spell of GC, happy with the 2 options and that they won't proceed with one of the options anyway.

Their poll, giving just 2 options, will likely have a preferred choice despite the anecdotal feedback that they will probably run with.

Here's hoping they see sense and call GC's bluff by ditching both options, otherwise we'll have the sword of Damocles hanging over us until the inevitable day that....

• GC sell Cappielow (option 1). This would probably see us moving to Ravenscraig and becoming a Lowland League perma-diddy club.

or

• GC charge a commercial rent on expiry of the initial one-pound-per-week lease (option 1). This would maybe allow us to stumble along in the lower leagues (ref Clyde and Airdrie), until they exercise the first outcome above.

or

• GC call in their outstanding debt (option 2). This would mean certain administration and possible liquidation.

Now if MCT can secure watertight legally binding assurances that none of the above can happen in perpetuity, then fair fucks to them, that would be quite an achievement. But without such assurances they need to reject both options out of hand.
