I’m in that picture when I was 17.

Which one are you? I used to wait there for the bus when I lived in Wemyss Bay.

What did you make of the book?

Ive actually had a bit of a soft spot for Partick since the day they horse Sellic in the league cup final in the seventies. I stayed in the Grieve Road high flats at the time and our nieghours across the landing were of a green persuasion.

That’s all the dad and son talked about, so when Thistle humped them 4-1 in a national final I found it highly amusing.

Some of the kids up the block had a Subbuteo league on the go, I even bought a Partick team to get it up the wee guy next door. Of course we were only about 12 or 13 at the time.

And they are not the Old Firm.

The term 'birthday caird pish' was invented for this post.

**** Partick Thistle.

Airdrie are a zombie club - a rebadged version of the club formerly known as Clydebank. They are even lower down than Sevco in my estimations. At least sevco had the decency to form a new club and start at the bottom (albeit not without trying to get parachuted into a higher level.)

Airdrie on the other hand went out of business, leaving countless creditors high and dry, then proceeded to cannibalise Clydebank F.C., rebrand them as airdrie United, relocate them and change the strip.

I used to enjoy our matches against airdrieonians, and would agree that they were a proper central belt club with a lot of history etc. Sadly they died. To me the current tribute act were; still are, and always will be Clydebank

At least those at Airdrie have the decency to accept they are a new club, rather than holding onto what the old one had achieved and washing their hands of the trail of destruction it left behind.

The impression I get of the Airdrie fans at least in response to their club’s demise and specifically how it was formed afterwards is that there’s a degree of shame and embarrassment at how they treated Clydebank.

The same can’t be said about the bravado and entitlement the Rangers fans have shown since their club died. There’s a lot to dislike about Airdrie, but comparing their response to liquidation unfavourably to Rangers’ wouldn’t be a route I’d go down.

The handsome one!

Aye, the book was quite good as far as I can remember.

The book was alright but slightly patronizing.

Gray and the other lads involved in the Nutmeg mag all seem to come across as a bit patronizing for some reason.

Highlights when? One of the vloggers just about got 4 goals from very far away but missed Tidser's which is a shame.

I've despised participate since the Friday night 5-0 game. Stupidly bought the hospitality package and sat in the home end. Not a good idea

There's a storm on the horizon

And for that I can't see the sun

For I'll keep a waiting on the pavement

For the ice cream van to come

Presumably 'Jagzone' subscribers can enjoy them already.

Are they putting highlights behind a paywall? A very 'Partick' thing to do IMO.

I thought Morton were quite average. They were absolutely horrendous.

Don't think that's being too unfair, tbh. Was great fun to watch, we saw their weaknesses and were able to expose them but if we played like that against a competent team it would probably end badly.

That said, there's plenty to take from it such as the pressing as a unit that should be a feature of our play and has been noticeable by its absence.

Said before but we still need to go out and get a performance and result in the next couple of games before we can get too optimistic. If we were to lose next week then we're back where we were on Monday. I don't think we will, but we're still on a game-by-game basis to see if a corner has been turned or not.

What we're doing is giving ourselves breathing room from the diddy end of the table picking up these wins. JJ and the players will be free from any real pressure as long as we stay miles above 8th as we are the minute, even if we're outside the playoffs.

If we win next week we'll actually have a good points total for a third of the season played given the bother we've had.

We're quite clearly not, given that people were wetting their knickers about a relegation battle on Monday. The pressure on the club from below - minor as it was anyway - has been completely removed.

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

I don't disagree, but if we were to lose the next two games then any idea that we've progressed goes out the window.

Again, I don't think we will but if we're aiming up rather than settling for safety then we still have a bit of work to do to suggest we're making solid progress. 4 points from the next 2 and beating Peterhead would represent a fantastic months work and set up us very nicely indeed.

Dunno if this has been posted yet, but the manager's interview is on YouTube:

Regardless of results or anything else, Johansson's interviews are always quite interesting and informative: it's clear he knows what he wants and can identify what's going wrong. I've said this before on here but you can't fake that kind of insight, the question has been whether he can transform the theory into practice which it now looks like he might well be able to.

Also interesting hearing McHugh saying he asked Iredale to get the ball in early for him, which is something that we haven't really been doing.
