Mr.Blue
Thoughts on the game? Can't see any reason why we can't get a result on Saturday. We are playing well and confidence among the players will be high. I'd like to see us line up like this: Gaston Russell Kilday Lamie Doyle Tidser Lindsay Oware Scullion Quitongo Oliver Kilday has to come back in if fit and i think oware should be moved into midfield to give us more of a physical presence alongside lindsay and allow tidser to pull the strings. Dont think either scullion or McDonagh should be start. Ideally if we bring a striker / winger in before Saturday then I'd put him in before either of them. If not, scullion has just shown a little bit more in the time he's been on the pitch so I'd start with him although I think Duffy would pick McDonagh over scullion. There's a storm on the horizon And for that I can't see the sun For I'll keep a waiting on the pavement For the ice cream van to come
Bobbyton
Forbes wont be dropped. I think we are likely to start with the same team that saw off Berwick which I wouldn't be too unhappy about.
TONofmemories
Shitting my pants for this and it's only Tuesday. I'm praying for a last minute winner and for utter #SCENES as a result. Hope no-one from the Facebook fans page is watching; SCENES aren't allowed, apparently. TIME FOR CHANGE!
Scott
s***ting my pants for this and it's only Tuesday. I'm praying for a last minute winner and for utter #SCENES as a result. Hope no-one from the Facebook fans page is watching; SCENES aren't allowed, apparently. A last minute winner would be delicious. Preferably Quitongo getting the goal. I want him to play but I reckon Quitongo might not start this game. Been reading a few articles after the Killie game and got the impression that Duffy wasn't keen on using him much in the championship. But he's started 2 games and scored in both, he more than deserves to play.
vikingTON
Quitongo will start until Duffy secures a loan striker at least. McDonagh has been completely anonymous and should be dropped to the bench; hopefully Kilday is fit to return as well. The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before.. So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

Bit of a ridiculous situation we're 4 days away from our opening game and still require at least one striker. Although I'm sure we signed Declan McManus on the Friday before we played Ayr in league 1 a couple of years ago and he turned out to be a decent last minute signing. GiGi
Burners 0-3 Morton It's coming. Peter Weatherson is the greatest player since Ritchie, and should be assigned 'chairman for life'
Scott
St Mirren fans are apparently making a banner for the game stating how many days it's been since we last beat them. Would be a great laugh if we then went on to win it I hope that banner adds a little more motivation to our team to go out and win it. I noticed Conor Pepper saying in an interview a few weeks ago that he's not that arsed about the whole rivalry and 17 years thing, I'd like to see our squad show they do actually care and go and win it for us. TONofmemories
A banner living forever in the shadow of the 'Paisley is a shitehole'number we pulled on them last season. Pleasing TIME FOR CHANGE!

mortonfc123
The team will be: Gaston Doyle Kilday Oware Russell mcaleer Tidser Lindsay Forbes Oliver Quitongo
Mr Toon
Probably along these lines but with Lamie at centre-back, O'Ware in the defensive midfield role and McAleer on the bench.
GiGi
O'Ware in defensive midfield in place of who? We signed Lindsay for exactly that position. O'Ware will be at centre half with probably Kilday. Scott
Would be madness to play anyone other than Lindsay beside Tidser. He appears to be the type of player we've been crying out for in the past 2 seasons.

Mr.Blue
Surprised people are suggesting mcaleer will start. From what I've seen I'd rather have tiffoney play before him. AyrshireTon
If we don't sell out our allocation for this game we're as well disbanding. Cappielow has sold theirs out. Smiths only now. McGhee needs some support, there's no-one backing him up. Hayes playing it forward, Bell being forced to do it all alone, now forward from Marr, here's Ritchie, still Andy Ritchie, look at the control... That is a marvellous goal from Andy Ritchie. Twenty minutes on the clock and Morton's supporters come alive. A goal which epitomises the control, the arrogance, the cheek of Andy Ritchie.
