General Election 2015

It's neither the SNP's fault nor the Scottish electorate's fault that 1) Labour took their supposedly locked-in Scottish constituencies for granted for literally three generations and were summarily booted out the second a quarter-dece cebter-left opponent showed up, 2) even with their jock-baiting, rightward tilt Labour can't even compete in the Blairite 'aspirational' Home Counties heartlands of Gufflingshire, Tosswick-on-Splafford, and Quims 3) Ed Miliband exists, 4) FPTP exists, and finally 5) the Lib Dems. Just the Lib Dems in general. Eight seats, fuck me.

As it stands, with the Tories only commanding a very slim majority, there is scope for some fairly dece trolling from the minority - maybe even over the EU referendum. But even had the SNP stood aside in literally every constituency, we'd still be looking at five more years of the Bullingdon boys.

It says a lot that I'm still absolutely seething about Edinburgh South and Orkney & Irrelevant. Think Mundell was always going to be returned but those other two were winnable.

By all accounts the Edinburgh South guy was a total pie.

VikingTon, I thought you would be highly in favour of the strongest possible opposition to the Tories being a solid and united force capable of holding them to account, but the more I read your gloating on here, the more I wonder what your ulterior motive is:

Yes - I'm sure if the likes of Inverclyde had clung onto decades of stale voting practices, the likes of Iain McKenzie would be skewering the government on a weekly basis and working hard for the improvement of his constituency. They've just been pretending to be an absolutely useless set of careerists and glorified councillors - whose party is of course wedded to an austerity agenda like the Tories - until this moment. This Parliament was when they were going to deliver.

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

That's been nearly a fortnight since the Tories took full power, surely all the poor folk must've starved to death by now?

All of your gloating doesn't seem to take into account that the Tories won the election and the strongest possible opposition are in a far weaker position thanks to the separatist SNP.

WTF was that dog all about?

A Tory government doesn't bother me. I don't like them but I'm not to keen on the alternatives either.

Fuck the SNP - Third place also-rans.

I dislike dogs.

I don't trust people who don't like dogs. However, I instictively trust a dog when it dislikes a person.
