Declan McManus starts and scores from the spot as TNS beat Astana of Kazakhstan 2-0 in the Conference League at Shrewsbury, the first time a Welsh team has ever won a "group" (or league) stage game in Europe.

They're technically an English club as their ground is in Oswestry.

If we’re going down the route of the first Welsh team being English, Swansea City won two group stage games in the 2013-14 Europa League group stages when representing England as League Cup winners, before getting knocked out by Napoli in the last 32.

Sorry, I just like to be a pedant.

Haha, I get it, me too.

I suppose it depends on whether you categorise it by their geographic location or the league they play in. Personally, I always considered Berwick Rangers to be an English club, so I apply the same logic to TNS.

I should say League of Wales or whatever it is they call it now. I remember as a kid being somewhat fascinated by the team names on Teletext. Caersws. Inter-Tel Cardiff or whatever. Mold.

Watching Mark Russell strut his stuff for Stranraer in the Scottish Cup on BBC Scotland. How we never secured the million pound transfer of the second biggest backside in football was a sad failure of the DDFR era.

Threave have just gone 2-0 up after 55 minutes. For comparison of the standard, they're in the West of Scotland Third Division, which is Tier 9. Last Saturday they lost 6-0 at Greenock Juniors.

Stranraer have just won it 3-2 with the last kick of the ball as the clock turned to 95:00. Threave had gone down to 10 men at 2-2.

Even when Quitongo was fit last season, it looked to me as if he didn't have the searing pace any more.  Used to leave defenders for dead but he couldn't get away from his marker.

"Any nation given the opportunity to regain its national sovereignty and which then rejects it is so far beneath contempt that it is hard to put words to it."

The Cowshed welcome for Oakley’s return coming across loud and clear on BBC Scotland.

Sorry I couldn’t be there tonight to hear it in person.

Shame our defence just gave him a guard of honour to tap in a set piece.

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are
