vikingTON Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 It'd be nice to get a win and watch Pishy Brown Shoes' greeting-faced exploits on the sidelines. With the Stirling game coming up we need to get points on the board. I'd switch to the successful 4-5-1 and move away from playing two randomly selected rubbish strikers who can't form a partnership. Cuthbert Evans Smyth McCaffrey McKinlay Jenkins Bachirou Tidser Fitzharris Monti Weatherson With the other three carthorse strikers to put on as and when needed. I think we'll have the better of the game with the 4-5-1 but will struggle to score. A 1-0 win with a very scrappy goal would do fine. The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before.. So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are
maccaboy Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 If I remember right (and it was only a month ago) the last game against them at Cappielow was about as good a 0-0 draw as you'll see in this division. I'm hoping for a good match and i'd be delighted with any version of a 1-0 win for us. "Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right......."
centralTON Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 I expect at least a point from this game and would go along with vT's team. It'll be a long journey home for me and the boy if we lose though as we're taking 3 Falkirk fans down with us.

BluebirdTon Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 Anything less than a win is unacceptable. The team have failed us on the last three occasions against this mob so I don't have a great deal of confidence. The Ton Survived & Your Pipe Dream Died 18th September 2014
garymcc1874 Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 Christ .. I agree with vikingTon. I was very disappointed when we switched back to 4-4-2 on the back of one poor result against Queens away. The only thing I'd ask is exactly what Monti has done to deserve a place in the starting 11 ahead of O'Brien who looked to be coming into a bit of form, and had scored a few goals before being dropped for no apparent reason. TTG JIM!!!

Tho' seeing their comments on P&B they have all but given up. Canny see past a draw m'self. Show Racism the Red Card
IainMorton Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 Tho' seeing their comments on P&B they have all but given up. I can't quite believe that TBH. To have an outside chance of winning the league, behind two teams who aren't exactly in great form, and they are posting negative comments about how they won't be going for it. Anyone else would be saying they had a great chance! Not sure if they are trying to fool us into believing we will win at ease! Going for a 1-1 draw.
Mortonbug Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 Expect Falkirk to be a lot more competitive than last time at Cappielow, would take a draw, but no reason why we can't win if we actually take the chances we create. Hope Fitzharris is playing and I'm looking forward to the game. It would be great if we won with a controversial injury time penalty just to see Presleys reaction
