vikingTON Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Apparently... http://www.perthstjohnstonefc.co.uk/newsit...l.php?param=937 The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before.. So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are
vikingTON Posted July 26, 2010 Author Posted July 26, 2010 full back or centre back? Centre. So: Evans - Smyth - McCaffrey - McKinley Presumably. IainMorton Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Centre. So: Evans - Smyth - McCaffrey - McKinley Presumably. I am liking the look of that. Evans impressed me yesterday alongside Marc Smyth and I think he could do a job at full back, like in the pre season friendly games.

Rasta Ton Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Stuart was the year below me at school. FIRST DIVISION RUNNERS UP 2012/13 Hey Man - Enough of your Stupidness
joebananas Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Stuart was the year below me at school. In that case, we should be looking to sign him permanently.
Rhubarb Mess Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Lithgow a flash in the pan then! Like the wit, but I do hope so. We are a MEAN diddy team!!! TaunTon Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Not sure how a short term loan deal resolves anything. Nice to have the added option but how short is short?
The Bewilderedbeast Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Not sure how a short term loan deal resolves anything. Nice to have the added option but how short is short? I'd imagine it would be at least until January given that he is returning from injury etc.
Rampage Nu Sport Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Can't comment on the signing (if it happens), but aren't we heading for a rather imbalanced squad again? Even assuming that this means Lithgow isn't coming? And even assuming MacGregor's pencilled in as full back cover (which I'm sceptical about)? Thought our priorities were RW and LB? Seems like we have stacks of central defenders and central midfielders, and limited strength out wide.
Alibi Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 This signing and that of Evans are all very welcome but it does potentially give us problems for the second half of the season if the loans can't be extended. Wouldn't surprise me if Lithgow did join us and if that happened I think it would be bye bye for big Stu. Which would be a sad day as far as I am concerned even if some do regard him as a bit of a liability at times. "Any nation given the opportunity to regain its national sovereignty and which then rejects it is so far beneath contempt that it is hard to put words to it."

Clyde want £10k Posibility of bad press...
ThornTON Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 I hear that Lithgow will not be joining Morton. Clyde want £10k Posibility of bad press... 10k is what they want, a tribunal would be about half that...
ScappaTon Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 10k is what they want, a tribunal would be about half that... Indeed, but the bad publicity which is waiting is much more financially damaging.
The Naitch Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Indeed, but the bad publicity which is waiting is much more financially damaging. Apart from the articles relating directly to the court case has there actually been any publicity, let alone bad, regarding Lithgow's past actions? "To be the man, you gotta beat the man"
Oozie Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Happy that at least Moore see's sense and is bringing in either experienced SPL or First Division players. Pity it is only short term, but hopefully if we start off we'll we will attract better players for the future for long term deals. Oozie
