vikingTON Posted August 25, 2007 Posted August 25, 2007 Righto, can i ask: Where was Bobby Linn today? I know he wasn't match fit last week but did he get injured in warm-up or something? The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before.. So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are
Patg Posted August 25, 2007 Posted August 25, 2007 I dont think coakley done much today would ahve liked to see graham come on but I feel he would have been bullied off the ball by Hamilton Scott Gillan

aimlesswanderer Posted August 25, 2007 Posted August 25, 2007 I know he's not had many matches but I haven't been impressed with Linn so far, although I would expect him to be ahead of Graham and Coakley in the pecking order. If we are to bring anyone in before the transfer window closes a striker has to be a priority.

Alibi Posted August 25, 2007 Posted August 25, 2007 Agreed - Coakley is mince from what I've seen, goal against Gretna excepted. We have too many inadequate signings - Coakley, Linn etc etc. "Any nation given the opportunity to regain its national sovereignty and which then rejects it is so far beneath contempt that it is hard to put words to it."
Deego Posted August 25, 2007 Posted August 25, 2007 Agreed - Coakley is mince from what I've seen, goal against Gretna excepted. We have too many inadequate signings - Coakley, Linn etc etc. You canny judge them yet, they've hardly even played.
vikingTON Posted August 25, 2007 Author Posted August 25, 2007 You canny judge them yet, they've hardly even played. Whereas we can judge the manager - he's had nearly 3 years. Colkitto Posted August 25, 2007 Posted August 25, 2007 Agreed - Coakley is mince from what I've seen, goal against Gretna excepted. We have too many inadequate signings - Coakley, Linn etc etc. I think you are being a wee bit harsh on Linn. At least he looks like he has potential. As for Croakley...I'm sorry, but from what I have seen, he could be in the running for "one of the worst players to sign for Morton" category. Don't blame me I voted Yes!!!! - We tried to tell you !!!!!
TaunTon Posted August 25, 2007 Posted August 25, 2007 You canny judge them yet, they've hardly even played. I think the fact that Linn has had so few outings in his time with us suggests that he's been judged already.
chrissiboi Posted August 25, 2007 Posted August 25, 2007 I don't know if McInally feels Linn still isin't match sharp so didn't want to chance him . I am confident McInally is a tactical genius ! 6 days before the transfer window closes he produces a little bit of magic by bringing on Coakley . If ever DDFR needed reminding we need a striker this was it . Coakley offered nothing , at least Graham could have held the ball up and wouldn't let defenders turn so easily . I think the general consensus around Sinclair Street was it was a howler if McInally thinks this guy would get us back in the game .
mortonjag Posted August 26, 2007 Posted August 26, 2007 If Linn was fit yesterday and not even on the bench, I'm more convinced than ever that Shoogly's picking the team. First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then they pretend to befriend you, then you win! YER BARD
piehutt Posted August 26, 2007 Posted August 26, 2007 It was publicised that Bobby was still a week or so away from being match fit. I assume he has been training well and playing reserve / bounce games. Don't like to jusge Coakley given his brief appearance in a game that was well beyond us when he came on, but looked dreadfully slow. Twitter... tweet tweet

Even if he'd had a broken leg he'd still be preferable to Coakley on his showings. <_> The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. princessTON Posted August 26, 2007 Posted August 26, 2007 in order for bobby linn to be match fit, doesnt he have to actually play in matches to get match fit?? instead mcinally just leaves him out or on the bench....and doesnt even bring him on. MON EH TON!

Now that would be too sensible. Anyway which full back would he have replaced Some sing of Celtic, Rangers And some of Motherwell Of Hibs and Partick Thistle And other teams as well But of all the famous football teams There’s one that they’ve forgotten With a Ra Ra Ra and a Cha Cha Cha IT’S THE FAMOUS GREENOCK MORTON

So why did McInally bring him on saying he wanted more pace upfront?
