JIDuncan Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 Hi can someone explain to me where and when the trophy presentation will happen when we eventually win the league. If we win next week does that mean we have to wait another week to get the trophy or do we get it at raith. or if worst comes to worst will we have to wait to ayr to get it if it goes another week. Trying to arange a night out few mates coming through for the party. Iain
puggsy_ton Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 If we win on Saturday I am all but certain we would get it the next week. I think if it goes to the Stranraer game we would probably get it then aswell. If it was to go down to the Ayr game then I don't know....perhaps if Ayr where ok with it.

gdo Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 Saturday, if we win. The league provides replicas that follow all teams in contention to each possible championship winning fixture until it is decided. The winning side recieves a replica immediately following victory to be carried and tossed round the park and the real trophy is exchanged at a later date. It aviods the potentially priceless item being dropped and damaged by some clumsy footballer and it means there is no anticlimax for supporters who get to see the presentation on the day rather than at a 0-0 draw or 2-0 defeat the following week (as is often the case with league winning sides).

I'm coming down from beyond Inverness again for the Stranraer game but might not manage Kirkcaldy so I want a real presentation and a half at Cappielow - 'Home of the Champions'! I was down for the Forfar game - it's a lot of miles on the car but Saturday was worth every one of them. Very proud of the team and the fans.
