The Bewilderedbeast
Like others have said, a truly dreadful game of football, I’m actually struggling to think of a game as dire as that in the past and I’ve been going to Cappielow for over 40 years. I fear that we are seeing Tidsers final few games for us, he must be pig sick, I’m just hoping that he’s carrying a knock or illness we don’t know about (similar to his shingles infection a few years ago) because if he’s simply being dropped that is scandalous. I felt that the boy Dallas did ok without service, Tidser is the man who could have given him that service. Someone mentioned to me a couple of weeks before Christmas that Michael was fed up with how the team in general were playing and particularly how he himself was being asked to play. I hope I’m wrong but I do fear he’ll be off, if not in the next week certainly at the end of the season and who could blame him.
Malt
I think it is turkey inevitable we will see Tidser sign a pre contract or leave this month as JJ may view him as a significant saving and he is not playing him. It would be a poor choice as I would be building my team around him.
EanieMeany
Tidser not starting was just mental, zero justification for him being fully fit and being wasted on the bench. I do feel for him. This could’ve easily been the best season of his career if he could’ve carried his form on but JJ has absolutely no idea how to use him. One of the really galling things about the Tidser situation is that when the news of Dundee's interest broke, Johansson was in the Tele talking about how great Tidser was and that he was having "one of the best seasons I've (he's) seen". There's two big myths around Johansson: first of them is that his team is inconsistent when it's actually just really, really bad with a few decent results and the other is that he talks a good game. Apart from some bog standard TV pundit quotes after his few games, his interviews have been defined by vacuous, empty and at times downtight stupid comments that give no suggestion whatsoever that he even comes close to understanding what's going wrong. The "I picked the best way to play against East Fife based on the players I have...but actually, it didn't work because we don't have the players to play that way" drivel is a case in point. I've lost patience with the "he seems a nice guy" thing. Fuck him, he's drawing a wage from the club and he's dragging it backwards quicker than even the likes of Grady managed. My sympathy with him has entirely evaporated. AWMSC
HamCam
You realise the growing disconnect between JJ and the fans when you listen to his post-match interviews. JJ thought yesterday was absolutely fine, he was happy with the performance whereas the fans only argument was where the shambles ranked in our long list of debacles. We will not punt him this season even though it is clearly the right thing to do. He is so far out of his depth inevitably we have to accept this season is a right off. JimJam
Didn't make the game yesterday due to illness but just watched JJ's match reaction video. Sounds like I missed a really good game.
TopCat
If we're stuck with this ultra-defensive set-up until the end of the season then where are the wins going to come from? Is "sit tight and hope for a bit of luck" going to be enough? Utd (A) Ayr (H) Inverness (A) QoS (H) Falkirk (H) Ross County (A) How many points are we going to pick up from these games? None of the opposition in this league are anything special. They're all beatable on the day but if we're not going into games with that attitude then it's not going to happen. We don't have the quality at the back to aim for a clean sheet every week. There's definitely enough in the squad for a comfortable mid-table finish but JJ has us looking unbelievably listless. delboy66
You would be off your head to go & watch that just now & unfortunately I can't see the situation changing very much.. £20.00 to go in & watch drivel like that keep Your hard earned in Your pockets until Rae gets out & takes JJ with Him... SpoonTon
Seems that the 4 at the back was simply to combat Dunfermline. Also seems like he doesn't think Waddell can play in a back 4 and doesn't rate Iredale at full back but thinks he had to do it yesterday to play the back four. I think he's obsessed with our weaknesses to such an extent that he cannot see our potential strengths. It was horribly negative yesterday, we were never going to create much at all. Depressing stuff.
TheGoon
Falkirk will beat us at Cappielow, just because.

AyrshireTon
Very poor game, as has been said in almost every other post. That said, the fact that we didn’t concede, given the way they ran the midfield, is the only positive. I reckon Telfer mistook the cheering of his substitution for him being taken off when it was obviously for Tidser’s eventual inclusion. I actually though Telfer worked his socks off in what was clearly a losing battle. Dallas looks promising but had zero support. Tumilty needs to practice his crossing. McGhee needs some support, there's no-one backing him up. Hayes playing it forward, Bell being forced to do it all alone, now forward from Marr, here's Ritchie, still Andy Ritchie, look at the control... That is a marvellous goal from Andy Ritchie. Twenty minutes on the clock and Morton's supporters come alive. A goal which epitomises the control, the arrogance, the cheek of Andy Ritchie. DreamOakTree
I’ll hazard a guess that Ray Von believes that any reference to Morton Fans merits a capital letter!

port-ton
To be fair to Telfer I thought he ran himself in to the ground. The problem is he is extremely lightweight, lacks the pace needed to get away from players and was always a yard off the pace when closing Dunfermline players down. I'd say he's not good enough rather than he doesn't work hard. Good people will do good things, bad people will do bad things, but only with religion do good people do bad things!
