vikingTON
BUMP: Rather concerning that Morton have been radio silent. I assume we've been made to look stupid again? Not sure why you're asking us tbh, given that you already announced the outcome of the case three weeks ago The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before.. So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are
TheGoon
Hawke was saying in hospitality they’ll have the verdict in the next week or two. Now, it’s Warren Hawke, and it may just be to appease the “pissed up jakeys†so take it for what you will.
dunning1874
If the tribunal didn't make their decision on the day and they're taking their time to pass their final judgement then neither club can say anything about it and no good can come of breaking those rules. Maybe they're genuinely taking ages to consider the evidence, maybe they've made their decision but have chosen not to share it with the clubs until after this weekend so that in the event of an appeal being submitted it can be heard and resolved without the clubs playing each other during that process. I'm absolutely not ruling out the possibility that the club are going to get nothing and if that turns out to be the case it'll be a serious embarrassment after the public statements they've made, but at this point I'd say either of those scenarios are considerably more likely than the verdict already being known and both clubs choosing to keep it quiet; it'd take a pretty weird set of circumstances for the decision to be an embarrassment to both clubs. You could argue Falkirk being found guilty but Morton only getting a small five figure fee of compensation would constitute that after statements explicitly mentioning six figures, but even in that scenario you'd imagine Falkirk would want to reassure their fans that despite being found guilty their punishment will have no impact on their January rebuild with Morton not getting what they want. Other than that, the club which avoids humiliation is going to want to shout about it, whether that's Falkirk being cleared/given a nothing punishment or Morton getting significant compensation. The most reasonable assumption to make is that the clubs don't know the decision yet. Mr Toon
These things take as long as a piece of string. No one will be made to look anything until a ruling is made and announced.

Would he be allowed in hospitality with his Slazenger breeks? Apparently they have a strict dress code. He is spouting about the tribunal as though he's in the know, he must be using his legal expertise and experience to represent Falkirk. I think that his nemesis, Crawfordjag could afford a proper brief. *insert signature here*

SpoonTon
"We consider that ours is not the forum to consider whether compensation should be paid in a matter such as this. There are other fora at which such matters can be more appropriately raised, should some party or person decide to so seek. Whilst our powers of sanction are wide ranging, we decided that compensatory claims had not been sought here and were not within our remit when determining matters of rule breach brought by the governing body." Scott
We surely must be due something as well? Otherwise what was the point in complaining? £40,000 is fuck all in the grand scheme of things. They should've made an example of them.

Claim upheld, Falkirk sanctioned. We can now chase compensation (should have already).
SpoonTon
Presumably this gives us a strong basis on which to seek compensation.

TRVMP
From looking at this: McKinnon is a lying snake His agent, Jim Sherry, is also a lying snake but a particularly stupid one Margaret Lang at Falkirk seems to be a bit of a lying snake but moreover just a thick ditz ("She didn’t know the terms of the SPFL rules that were of relevance but said that a lot happens in football that is not contained in the rules.") But more importantly... Crawford Rae - contray to some post earlier in the thread from people who really should have known better - did NOT give Falkirk carte blanche to nick the manager for free, but rather said that he was going nowhere without compensation. He was quite understandably blindsided by all of the lies taking place around him, Falkirk's lack of knowledge and concern for the rules around approaching contracted staff, and that everything was taking place behind his back. That he didn't have a top-down view of everything going on was in fact inevitable, such was the subterfuge from Jim Sherry in particular and the lies from Margaret Lang. You can say what you like about Crawford's conduct since Ray's departure - undoubtedly it was a real punch in the gut for him - but the Tribunal is quite clear that Crawford (and Warren, in fairness) were credible witnesses who had contracted McKinnon and Taylor correctly and acted in accordance with that at all times. 100% of the fault - not 99%, but 100% - lies with McKinnon, his agent, and Falkirk FC. And they have been punished and fined by the League accordingly. So, that's the league got theirs. It's our turn now. Now we need to take Falkirk to the cleaners to get the compensation to which we are entitled, and the evidence supplied here by the SPFL tribunal will help with that immensely. Either that or Falkirk can get the checkbook out without having to go through the legal system.
