port-ton
Nice guy who gave his all and played a major part in the re-connection between the fans and players during our good period 2 seasons ago, hopefully he gets a decent response when back at Cappielow i.e not being hounded. Edit to add: On a footballing front he was a mid-level Championship fullback. Wouldn't look majorly out of place at the expected top half teams in this league, but also wouldn't stand out at an Ayr Utd. We can do a lot worse than him, but equally we can do a lot better. Popular Post TRVMP
I would be utterly shocked if he got a hounding. He seemed to genuinely enjoy his time here and I hope he left with fond memories.
LargsTON
I liked Doyle and would've been more than happy to have seen him stay. "CORNBEEF IS A BELLEND"
Ray Von
I remember when we signed Doyle a few years ago a lot of people were saying we’ve signed a right back who can put in a good cross, with links to him putting a few crosses in playing for Alloa. Never really witnessed it with us.
gmfc23
Im with largsTON on this one would have been happy for doyle to stay. Most weeks we was doing the job of 2 down the right because duffy was a fucking clown and had no natural right sided winger in the team as a right back doyle was solid enough although he could have improved on his crossing.
Malt
Doyle was the weak link and that was clear. Nice guy and good humour but rcorrect decision releasing him as we can 100% do better.

I don't think he was either. Duffy takes a lot of the blame because he wanted him to do everything down the right and whoever played in front of him tucked in. No player at our level is capable of doing that in a 442.
jimbobton
The fact he worked hard is not in dispute. He is crap. He isn't/wasn't crap. Perhaps not quite good enough but not crap.

There were several games were he was all at sea. Livingston stands out for me. In my opinion he was the weak link of the defence and there were/are better options and I think Ray has acknowledged this by ripping up the offer made to Doyle. Never really witnessed it with us. It was weird. He seemed to have it when he joined for the first few months. His technical qualities either regressed after that or he wasn't as good as I remembered in the first place. Good athlete though he should be able to play at this level for a good few years yet. Peter Weatherson is the greatest player since Ritchie, and should be assigned 'chairman for life'

AyrshireTon
Gary Harkins scores for Queens - 2-1 to Stranraer now. Edit 2-2 now. Dobbie. Edited July 14, 2018 by AyrshireTon McGhee needs some support, there's no-one backing him up. Hayes playing it forward, Bell being forced to do it all alone, now forward from Marr, here's Ritchie, still Andy Ritchie, look at the control... That is a marvellous goal from Andy Ritchie. Twenty minutes on the clock and Morton's supporters come alive. A goal which epitomises the control, the arrogance, the cheek of Andy Ritchie. BishopBrennan
Dundee made a statement saying they were standing by him, so presumably he is still there. Unbelievable that he's avoided the jail. It's not really unbelievable. The guy clearly needs help, not jailed. 4 <span style='font-size: 14px;'><em class='bbc'>"That LinwoodTon's a c*nt, eh?"</em></span>
