Dundee United Vs Morton

Looking forward to this one. I'd assume that we will line up in roughly the same shape as we did under King Snake.

After Firhill, unless Denny has come on leaps and bounds during the international break, I'd much rather finish the match with him on the pitch as opposed to him starting. He faded out at Firhill just as we were trying to press for an equaliser, then as a result he had to be replaced. As much as he is wasted out wide, I'd like to see Telfer come back in for this one.

Denny has had 2 weeks to getup to speed.  Shouldn't be far away from peak fitness now.

There's a huge difference between overall condition and match sharpness. Saturday will give us a good indication of how far away from full fitness/sharpness he is, but until we know that I'd rather have him on the bench.

The last thing a new manager needs to be doing is playing folk out of position.

Vs Ross County we were combative more direct, we contained them better and looked better going forward.

Vs Thistle, slow laboured, didn't get in behind once and let Thistle come onto a game.

Only difference Iredale left mid and Maclean further forward quite simple really.

That's an incredibly simplistic assessment, not least for the idea that one player was "the only" difference in that game.

Your right there were other factors the pitch was a lot bigger at Firhill and we seemed a bit lost at times,

with no real direction from the dugout we ran out of ideas. But my main point is we tried Iredale at right mid with MacLean further forward and it seemed to work so this nonsense that he's being played out of position needs challenged, he's a young guy, he doesn't know his best position and he seems fairly adaptable and capable so try him there again. Also Maclean in the final 3rd gives us more penetration so again a bonus not playing him so wide.

What's with all this 'Jayjay' talk. Jonathan should call him Jonatan, and Jonatan should call him Jonathan. Simple.

I was looking forward to that bit too.

Simmer down PeeJay.  :)
