SpoonTon
Maybe we can spread out around the ground and it won't be considered a mass gathering

Scott
The financial implications on most clubs will be horrendous if we’re all told to stay away. Hopefully someone has a chequebook ready to bail us out.

TheGoon
Grim times. We (and other clubs) are in serious bother if it lats a decent amount of time and there’s no bailout.

Jamie_M
Wonder what they will do if season can't be completed. Some saying they will just freeze the positions at that time and use them to decide promotion/relegation etc. Massive can of worms there.
TONofmemories
Falkirk staying down then... absolutely fucking glorious. TIME FOR CHANGE!

Some saying they will just freeze the positions at that time and use them to decide promotion/relegation etc. Massive can of worms there. They'll need play the games at some point. Most clubs down here are already absolutely fucked financially without having 5 home matchdays wiped off the balance sheet. Fuck knows how and when you get the games played. If you extend the calendar into June and past player's contract expiry date, what then?

If you extend the calendar into June and past player's contract expiry date, what then? Extending would be tough also with an effect on pre-season and the start of next season with a packed timetable already. Noticed a team in Orkney having to play 2 league games on the same day due to weather postponements. That would be mad.

TRVMP
Bring it on. Lawsuits everywhere though. So all the GDP lost through the cancelation of events can be made up through billable hours. I fail to see a downside.
Scott
If they postponed the games for a few weeks we could maybe get away with Tuesday-Saturday games for the run in at best.

They should live with the reality of the situation, which is that large gatherings are really ill-advised until the weather heats up. That means closed-door games at best. vikingTON
Closed door games are impractical for leagues whose clubs depend so heavily on matchday revenue as Scotland's four national divisions. You're much better off deferring them even if it takes until the middle of June or something to complete the season. The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before.. So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are
SpoonTon
They should live with the reality of the situation, which is that large gatherings are really ill-advised until the weather heats up. That means closed-door games at best. We're apparently about 4 weeks behind Italy, and 10-14 weeks away from the peak of this. The early part of summer will come with it's own complications. If we're being realistic, in that sense, if we delay now then it's unlikely that we can finish this season before next season begins.

Hospitality would be a bigger risk than being in the stand or the cowshed.
